Thank you Nicholas! Really appreciate it. Put a lot of effort into that whole run. Russia was a blast, and great playing with the guys and meeting new friends.

Thank you for sharing. I don’t have a instructor, but I have the internet! One of my observations is it’s a different bridge. 🎉

do you think lengthening the tip to bridge hand distance helps?
@MaxEberle
@MaxEberle 3 жыл бұрын
Well it depends.... on how far you already are, how accurate your stroke is, how hard you want to hit it... in general, it does not equate to helping if you know what you're doing. What many amateurs do on their draw is not pull back the cue far enough. So it's not the distance their bridge is from the cue ball that's the issue, it's them not pulling the ferrule all the way back to their bridge hand that takes away their ability to accellerate enough for a nice smooth and powerful draw. For me, 10 or 12 inches is perfect but I can get a great draw at just 6 inches from the cue ball by using smart technique.

@@MaxEberle Interesting, I have found that with low deflection shafts that a slightly shorter bridge helps with a lively stroke. I just attributed it to the lighter tip mass makes the cue tip dive after contact and actually reduced spin. Have you seen this with different shafts?

My cue ball address is what hinders me most I believe. When I think the tip is 1/4” away it’s closer to 2” which throws off my accuracy big time.

It looks like you stroke a draw shot the same as a regular shot. I think where we all make mistakes on drawing is that we try to put too much into it causing all kinds of problems
