Returned from 3 week vacation and machine was not used during this time. Today the machine would work about 10 minutes then stop. Call service to no avail. Watched your video on how to take the machine apart and only had to go as far as removing the outside covers. the tracks were okay, but the rubberized strip was dried on to the machine. A good clean and movement back and forth, resolved the problem. Many thanks !

I watched the video to help me disassemble and check for anything blocking the unit from running. It would start and stop. I took it apart per the video - then I checked rollers and tracks closely and washed out with water - found a few small pieces of leaves etc... put it back together and put it in the pool. Before the procedure - it would start and stop a few times and then just stop. It has been running like it should for the last 10 minutes - cleaning the bottom and climbing the walls. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you so much. My robot ran over a bag with a string that then got sucked up and wound tightly around one of the wheels. I was struggling to get it off, even after cutting the string. This helped immensely.

I had to place the belts in scalding water and stretch them like work out bands in order for them to fit in the wheels. But after that it was easy peazzy!!!

Replaced my belt and climbing rings. Like new now. Climbs the walls again with ease. Belt is slightly tough to put on but not horrible. Rings go right on with no problem. Rings are sent damp. I'd consider wetting them up if for whatever reason they come to you dry. My old rings were literally half the size and I'm embarrassed I waited this long to replace them.

Note: I put a water worth rope on my handle & ran it up alongside the power cord. It's tethered to the power code by zip ties. I've replaced one power cord & don't want to replace another. Pulling it up by the rope vs the power cord is the way to go.

Hi great job! My dolphin m400 ( 6 years old) doesn’t climb anymore. Ho can I understand the rea sono and so if I have to change climbing foam rings or brushes or tracks. Someone told me to change only ultra fine filters? Furthermore my pool is a pvc insidie 23 years old and I think it has lost some grip. Thank you for you attention. Ciro (Rome, Italy).

I have a different dolphin - S20 series. It is underwhelming in how it cleans yet everything is working and cleaned out impeller etc. it’s 4 years old and used a lot. My dolphin dealer says the motors become less effective after a while and I need a new one. The motor seems great. I am wondering if it’s just the brushes.

When I attempted to replace the tracks they fit so tight they pulled drive pulleys downward at a slight angle. I'm sure the tracks would have come off on the first use. I positioned the notches on the idler pulleys correctly so that wasn't the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't know how they make it look so easy in any video I've put the track on the idler pulley and on one side of a brush Then put the sides on and secure everything Then I put the track on the other brush It's going to be tight

HI there! I hope the person who did this video can answer a question. IS it normal for the drive flywheels to bow down and sort of crimp the styrofoam float guides? I guess when you put the side panels back in place it would push them back up and in? Thanks!

Question. Is one of the belts supposed to be longer than the other? Having trouble installing one of the belts. One fits on either side, but the other is too small; and it won’t fit either side.

Does any one know about the open/close knob. When you open the filter lids you see a knob that has an open and close position.. (you have to use a screwdriver to turn) What is it supposed to be set to?

It's supposed to be set to the closed position. It releases the latch that holds on the little cover for the impeller.

These pool cleaners are great for about the first year. After that look to spend hundreds of dollars to keep repairing the unit. I just spent $175.00 on a rebuild kit to still have the cleaner to continuously fail. The tracks keep coming off jamming the unit. I would recommend looking around at other pool cleaning equipment. Not worth the money for a one year use.

I have used my Dolphin Premier for 4 seasons, and at the start of the fifth season, I have just had to replace the soft foam climbing brushes, and last season I replaced the filters. That's it. It runs 3 hours a day, 7 days a week while the pool is open (April - September). I have never had a cleaner pool (25,000 gallon chlorine).

Like everything else, in the beginning they are quality made - everyone brags, but after a year or two, they begin to use cheaper parts, less quality in materials - they get greedy. That’s why people with older models still say they are good and newer models are always in need of repair after one year.

It kills me to see how many people online swear by Maytronics cleaners. Buying one as affordable as this one seems great but within 3 years Maytronics is gonna say you should tune it up. That is, if it hasn't already experienced a "MAJOR" failure like Power Supply, Or motor. In fact, no repairs are worth considering unless you can do the work yourself otherwise a Maytronics robotic cleaner is disposable. The only suction they have is used to suck the money out of your wallet. Cost for Tuning Up this Pool Cleaner: Tune Up Kit- About $190 after tax and shipping. That's worth it if you do it yourself. Good video here to help with that. But if you need a technician, add another $250 and if you need to ship it to a tech, add at least $75 more. Not worth it. I can tune up a $40k truck for less than that. This ain't no $40k truck. It's a pool cleaner. Thanks to videos like this, at least people can learn to do it and save alot of money. Otherwise, I'd rather toss it in the garbage when anything fails on it. A new one costs $679 in my area so the cost of a major repair on any Dolphin cleaner isn't cheap enough to bother. A power supply is $400. A motor repair is almost as much as the cleaner if done by a technician. What a racket

Hi Matt, the center guide bearing might be installed wrong. Check the video at 2:39, there is a groove in the bearing that needs to line up with the frame. We noticed that then the bearing is not on correctly the tracks will come off. Hope that helps!

Sorry but you flipped by how to put on the brush pack then post a warning not to pull too hard?? Guess what you can’t pull a flimsy rubber Christmas tree shape through a small hole without the darn tips snapping off. I babied one through the hole for five min then it jumped right back out. I so regret removing the old ones. Funny you don’t show yourself doing the exercise

My belts were so tight that when I ran it for the first time, it broke the guide rings on either side of the pulley. I had to buy new ones and it works great now.

My gear with the axel; it keeps slipping out of position when it runs. I replaced tracks, scrubbers a few months ago due to their problem. The gear with axel still has same issue of coming loose when operating. What am I doing wrong?!?!
