Hey, just an idea, but for those who have learned a lot from Ray and enjoy his content - a great way to show some support is to watch older videos on days that he doesn't post. Each view is insignificant, but 100,000 views on a day is a small way we can support Ray.

@@jackfrost-fu7hz It's not a matter about feeling bad for Ray. It's a matter of showing support for someone who has provided us with learning and entertainment in a time when his finances could be adversely affected. How much money he has or doesn't have isn't the issue I was raising. I always make sure to like each video of his I watch because I get the content for free, and it is a small way I can show support. In the photo of the bottom of the new trailer, you called it plywood. Plywood has a uniform layer on each layer that is visible on the top and bottom of the sheet. Particle board is made up of small particles of wood (slightly larger than sawdust) that are mixed with a glue and then pressed together. This is most often used in the core of the wood in inexpensive wooden furniture. Your floor is at times called chip board or wafer board as it is made up of larger pieces of wood glued and pressed together. You can see the large pieces of wood in the flooring. Definitely paint it, several coats, as you don't want a lot of moisture getting to it or it can begin to come apart.

+1 on this suggestion; I was going to suggest the mobile mechanic option myself. This trailer looks like just the thing to set up a professional-looking mobile repair business. As someone who’s been fired a few times myself, I very strongly suggest you crucially analyze every potential purchase. If a thing doesn’t help you make money, save money, or maintain your well-being, think twice about getting it. “Maintain well-being” can s a broad definition that’s as subjective as “Essential”. But basically food, housing, medicine, insurance, etc.

It may have already been said, but look into L-Track for tie down on the wall. You can put a longer piece across the wall and span 4 or more of the wall "studs", spreading out the load. Tie down points then attach to the track pretty much any where you want. It's popular among DIY van camper builders. I used it on my van floor to have tie downs for my son's wheelchair.

Ray, I live in rural south Texas off grid mostly. I too in the midst of unemployment in the same trade bought an enclosed trailer of the 14' V nose variety that i didnt necessarily need as a mobile motoorcycle repair facility and stealth camper. I put shelves in the "V" as does everyone else. I put "E" track and "X" track on the floors and walls and bought wheel chocks for the track. I put a small winch on the floor and added a jackery power pack and a solar panel along with lights and a 12v battery charged by the jackery. I did this in November of last year. No regrets. I Get it. I did it. To a lesser degree.

That is a nice trailer. My brother had one sort of like that, it was a 5th wheel with a living area up front and a small kitchen in the front. It also had a bed I think that folded down from the ceiling in the back when the cars were removed. He use to drag race and sell TCI stuff.

You need to undercoat, with the wood so it does not rot

Over the last week I believe that you have left little Easter eggs throughout your videos- I believe that you do have a plan and that would to be potentially opening your own shop. Here are the clues 1 you previously stated that when you have your own lift you would not worry about broken cables, 2nd paperwork to be signed in January. LOL looking forward to your next adventure Ray!

Ray, that floorboard that you called plywood is actually OSB (oriented stranded board) generally used for house sheathing. Painting it will only last 1-2 years before the OSB delaminates. My recommendation is to cover that OSB with sheet metal and caulk the hell out of it to keep it waterproof. OSB hates water.

You're better off leaving it exposed so it can dry out easily. It won't get wet very often underneath a trailer in Florida!
