For what its worth Mr. Pratt, i truly enjoy your videos. In particular, the ones where you bring your son and son in law along. It reminds me of the good times i had working in recovery, service and machine delivery with my dad from my elementary school years until he passed away on a skiing trip in 2004, just a few months before i turned 18. You have the same service minded attitude, no job is too small or too big. Always polite, helpful in any way possible or neccesary. He was, much like you, viewed as a man that could do just about anything with what he brought to the job site. I commend your service to your community, customers and the unfortunate individuals in sore need of a helping hand. Althought you may not have wings yet, A saving saint indeed you are. Best regards from Norway.

Mr. Pratt, just a word of thanks for all the knowledge I have obtained from watching your videos. It has helped me do more thinking about every aspect of my life before proceeding on a fixed or first idea. Anyone that watches your videos and doesn’t learn something, doesn’t want to learn. I have watched a few other recovery videos from other companies, some are close to how well you do your job, but none that I have watched so far measure up to your standards. Some of them are down right scary the way they do things. Not sure how they managed to stay in business, and should be ashamed of what they put on the internet. Anyway, I’ll offer my thanks again, keep the spectacular videos coming, and may God continue to bless and keep you and your team safe always!

Ron, watching you work in the dark made me think of a suggestion. Have you looked at installing a remote control spotlight on the end of the boom? Similar to the ones that the utility companies nave on their trucks or that boats are using now. As an added suggestion, if you had a line similar to your ground line but with knots in it, you could tie it off on the truck, run it down some of the slopes you work around and use it to help come back up. Love the videos, keep the Faith.

Fascinating recovery. I was worried when early on Mike was cutting that second tree. (The one where he got the bar stuck.) His position was really dangerous. A tree on a slope like that will tend to kick up....right into your chest or face. Need to be 90 degrees from direction of the fall line. And then on a later cut of a tree over the machine he almost got whacked again. Not a criticism, just want you guys to be safe. There are some really good YT videos on advanced chainsaw technique.

Lol this is a very common thing to hear from customers. They usually dont think about us showing up in a million dollar truck. A lot of them also dont understand that we wont put our trucks in a situation where we could lose the truck. There isnt a job in the world worth losing a wrecker over. I have gambled the truck a few times over the years but never a situation where I wont have full control of the truck ie parking on loose ground. Ive picked weight a little over my safe limit but I only needed to lift it inches off the ground and hold it. Ive also had a couple jobs where ive had to tell the customer that its my truck and my career on the line and if they wanted me to complete the job it would cost them a second truck or I could disassemble and head home.
@RonPratt4 жыл бұрын
@@xxkillerkane420xx8 Yes, most customers don't think in the same way we have to. On this job, for example, I knew that it would be floating my front end with the carriage rolled back, the boom at full extension, and the boom elevation flat, but I would rather risk floating the front end than rolling the truck down the same embankment. We have to take calculated risks. That's just part of the job. Glad you understand. Thanks for watching and God bless.
@xxkillerkane420xx84 жыл бұрын
@@larrykeenan598 73000 plus the skid steer in lift plus when the machine is hung up by branches or concrete slabs or even just trying to drag it a little, the weight adds up very quick and being that far out behind the truck you really have to watch weights. They even mentioned that the truck had sunk a little just during the roll over.
