Just an FYI for the future, to remove the styrofoam insulation you can put some acetone in a squirt bottle and spray it on. The foam will instantly dissolve and come right off.

To seal pin holes in the aluminum, use Gflex epoxy mixed with chopped fiberglass or fiberglass cloth. I use it to patch boats all the time.

Thank you for sharing your process. How did the weight of the roof change from before to after? It seems like you might have added more by replacing styrofoam with plywood on the sides. Did you ever put the rubber roof on? I'd love to see the next step of putting it back on. Really nice work! Thanks again!
@Robinson-Homestead3 жыл бұрын
He the same stuff I used on my cargo trailer camper to seal the roof the weight not bad it worked out great not to heavy.

Is there a next step video? Would love to see a video 4 if there is a one of it all out back together and how ya did that. These videos were so in depth. We are doing research for the spring so we can restore our roof before we put our new canvas on.

Looks good but you have to watch the weight you don't want to start breaking the cables that lift the roof.
@zzz7zzz94 ай бұрын
I would imagine there's no worries. I have a bonair 1400 that has a tank of a rooftop. It actually has a bunkbed that is attached to the rooftop. It's steel-built, and scissors up into the roof when not being used. Super-heavy. And, my trailer has hard walls that fold down as the roof is dropped, and raising the roof, raises the walls with small cables attached to them. It's an '80s model, and is still going strong in 2024.
@TheAztexan4 жыл бұрын
