Thank you. Here is a list: Circus! A Pop up Adventure, NASCAR Pop up Guide to the Sport, Ancient Dwellings of the Southwest, Disney's Pooh's Christmas Box, Aesop's Fables, Getty Press, Peek-a-Moo! Toddler Book, What's for Lunch?, What's for Dinner? Tales of Tails, Insectos, Spanish Publlisher and Flameguard, a hand made artist book. I worked with Jim Diaz at White Heat, Ltd. in 1990 and my first inspiration was Tor Lokvig's HAUNTED HOUSE! Love your playful work.

Thanks for that Sally. In your vid you mentioned seeing pop-ups in the round (from front as well as back). Do you know Kees Moerbeek's book Hot Pursuit - it's a classic, designed to be looked at from both sides, second hand copies are not expensive on Amazon.

Hi ! I’m so grateful for your videos, they are very well explained and I learn a lot ! I have a little question : if you have to draw a very large arc for the petals to be flat, does that mean that you can’t do anything little and flat ? Thank you so much for your generosity ! Hope you are well ☀️
@thepop-upchannel49194 жыл бұрын
A circle (small or big) divided into six is completely flat. A piece with a straight base (long or short) will stand up vertical. The more curved the arc the more flat the pop-up will be - the more flat an arc the more upright the pop-up will be. The size of the pop-up depends on how wide you set your compass.

@thepop-upchannel49194 жыл бұрын

@thepop-upchannel49197 жыл бұрын
I'm delighted that you find the tutorials helpful. Good luck with your book - the main problem with getting pop-up books published is that they are very expensive to produce since all the pieces have to be die cut and then they have to be stuck together by hand.

To make a helicopter pop up which mechanism would help?
@thepop-upchannel49197 жыл бұрын
That's very difficult - you need to have a very good understanding of pop-up to make a 3D helicopter. If I was going to do it I would probably start with one of the mechanisms explained in tutorials 12, 14, or 28. It would be easiest to just use an easy mechanism to raise up a flat illustrated image.

The book covers the same subjects but in more detail. It should be possible to buy it from Amazon.co.uk - you could also try www.gmcbooks.com - the book was out of print recently but I think there are more available now.
