So are they a stihl copy? They look identical to a stihl ms660. Have stihl given their plans to Holzzforma and now manufactured cheaper? They are so cheap it actually makes me weary of them, is the life span good? Thanks, looing at getting one.

what kind of bar oil do use? I recently bought an orange g660 and with a 32'' bar and it certainly does not oil like urs with 30'' bar on it. oiler is turned up to max aswell. have u had any issues with oiler on theese?

Change the oiler with HO or mod it... Best regards!

Congratulations on your video. I recently bought the G660(blue). I'm running a 20" chainring and after 9 tanks the chain won't stop turning at idle. I tried to adjust it but couldn't. Could you help me? Thank you very much.

Sounds like you have a broken clutch spring. Pop your bar off and take the brake drum off. And you'll see 3 clutch springs. If one of those are broken then that is why your chain won't stop turning. Had that years ago on my saw when i was logging.

Thank you very much for your advice. I have to say my mind didn't go there. With the speedometer I set it to 2500 rpm. and I didn't see a difference, I fixed the L too but still no difference. What would you recommend maximum rpm?

@@vaggelismeletis I have the g660 as well. The orange one with the handle wrap. I just broke it in last weekend and noticed right away it came to life. For such a big and powerfull saw there really is no need to goto 13000 rpm. I set mine to 12500 on the high. I set it there for longevity. And the low idle i noticed the sweat spot on mine is 2800. But a crank shaft seal or faulty one can make a chain spin no matter how you adjust it. But being new it would be very rare in my opinion. What i did when i got it out of the box and put it together when i first fired it up the settings where all out. So i took the High and Low set screws turned them in till they stop. And gave both screws a turn and a half out. It will fire up and set from there. On mine low idle set at 2800. And high set at 12500. In my younger years logging it was driving me crazy why the chain kept spinning, My old boss told me about the clutch springs. And sure enough one of them was broken. And since then always remembered that lol.

In the end you were right..one of the 3 springs was broken..So again I went back to factory setting the carb and once I have a spring I will try it. Thank you very much for your help.. I can't even send you a photo to see..

@@vaggelismeletis Thats ok i know exactly what it looks like. You can just get a MS 660 stihl clutch spring, It will work. All parts are interchangable. If it happens to me i will do the same. Comes in a pack of 3. Or it did when i had to fix mine 30 years ago. On my old 036 stihl. But now it will work right and the fight will be over for now. The chain will not spin anymore. Be surprised on how many saw mechanics will not know about this. Some do but most don't. And it is a easy fix. Glad i could help
