Ultra magnetic wasn't really a mainstream group. But they weren't quite considered underground either. Similar status of an M.O.P. didn't really have any major hits,but had a decent hard core following. Kool Keith was kinda like Eminem, in the sense of saying a lot of weird,shocking,over the line and sometimes gruesome lyrics. Papa Large was a Single meant to grow a fan base with more digestible content.Looks like you 2 are getting better at understanding the words more. Also catching more of the popular references. Some styles are more focused on what mc's call one-liners. Putting together a bunch of impactful lines that don't necessarily have anything to do with one another. Kool Keith is certainly not one of the best at it. Try The Alkaholics "Damn" or "The Next Level"

If you want to try something new you can give Chicano Rap, its like a Latino based sub genre of gangster rap Easy E actually signed a Chicano Rap group known as Brownside a year before his death. From them i can recommend the songs Creepin', Last Day, and Payback pt 2 On a side note if you look up "03.11.18 TOKER FROM BROWNSIDE ( SPEAKS ON HIS ROLE DURING THE DEATH ROW x RUTHLESS RECORDS BEEF )" you'll hear a funny story

You guys seem like really cool people and all but goddamn..... probably one of the most boring reaction channels i've ever watched. Nobody wants a fake reaction but you guys have zero reaction. If you're trying to "feel" and understand a different style of music, its important you try and immerse yourself into the culture of it. No hip hop head is gonna listen to a metal song, with zero reference, and understand why it's good. These art forms come from COMPLETELY different places and have way different values on where the artistic skill is. And this is coming from a guitar player who loves effin Kyuss and Pantera lol.
