One thing I really appreciate about face off with Cat Nap is that it ISN'T a chase sequence. Maybe it's just because of BanBan, but it feels like recent mascot horror has an obligatory ending chase, and that got boring. This was a lot more interesting imo

Chapter 3 does an amazing job with giving the player character an actual character. They imply that our character has some serious Survivors Guilt, and I think that's pretty cool.

I was actually surprised, the fact that they layed out a dark disturbing story AND they actually told us up front without having us to do homework and figure out the lore to understand it, I have to give them props for that. They absolutely cooked with this chapter, just the concept of "The Hour Of Joy" is terrifying. I never thought I'd say it but Poppys Playtime is better than FNAF at this stage. I went in ready to make fun of this game and ended out traumatized. Amazing game

Don’t Wake The Angels has become my favorite from the Poppy Playtime OST. Not only is it just a calming yet melancholy piece, but given its name and the context of the story and the location it plays in-game, it makes me feel genuinely sad. At first it seemed like all the dark and horrific implied lore of Poppy Playtime was just kinda added for the sake of theory fodder, and hey, maybe it initially was, but to see them actually go deeper into just how messed up the history of the factory is kinda refreshing in a way. The Hour of Joy tape is the best example. It actually gave itself the chance to play itself seriously and benefited so greatly from it. This chapter converted me from slightly angry at the missed potential the series had to an avid fan (which is why I definitely didn’t just spend $108 on the preorder Cat Nap and Dog Day plushes nuh uh no way)

I honestly think this is the best chapter yet. The release is by far the most stable. The aesthetic was great. The mechanics were just better than before. The story felt much more concrete and actually developing for both who you are as a character and what actually happened. Overall a solid 8/10 with a decent 9/10 on the horror. The ending I thought was great with the “hour of joy”, honestly being a horrifying event. Though I could say I wished the ending was a bit more clear where it led us besides us knowing we in the beasts den against this god like figure.

I already adore Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 and if even argue they are scarier then people give it credit for but this is truly a indie horror masterpiece and this will be a stepping stone for mascot horror. Also I think some of the Smiling Critters are alive.

I really did not like Poppy Chapters 1 & 2 (and still dont) but this game was so amazing that it genuinely made me a Poppy fan. Also well done on the video, its clear you put a lot of effort into it and was definitely worth the wait. The use of the new stills were also really cool, I'll be honest I was a little worried about how the redesign would look but once the stream actually happened I was completely won over. I agree with your opinion on this chapter, it is absolutely perfect. MOB really wanted to make this chapter a big improvement, the puzzles are actually fun, the new mechanics were also interesting, and I love that this chapter brings poppy playtime to a new era of indie horror. Now I can make fun of how in the past when indie horror was just nothing, especially in 2022 - 2023. Honestly the only good indie horror game then was Bendy and the Dark Revival.

i feel like even here, there could be some improvement (AKA: The learning curve in the final section, learning it was painful) However, i cannot deny how greatful they are into sticking with their guns, and creating such a beautiful experience, even if sometimes i became sour, especially the big reveal of what "The Hour Of Joy" truly was. This game was really amazing in my opinion. When this chapter released, i absolutely loved it. It looks amazing, the story’s amazing, and it actually had well timed jumpscares that actually made me jump. But along the line, I’ve started to noticed that people have made childish animations about these characters. Of course there is nothing wrong with this, but I just feel that this game, the story, and the characters aren’t for children. My 3 year old cousin told me he’s seen a few child-friendly animations of catnap and a few other characters. And he told me he wanted to watch the real Poppy Playtime. Before anyone bombs the replies with hate and shit, this is just my opinion. I’m just saying kids shouldn’t know about this type of horror at their age. Because then kids will get scared, tell their parents, parents then leave bad reviews. I’m not saying this will happen, I’m saying that it could happen.

Honestly I’m more intrigued in poppy playtime now then Fnaf. Fnaf is just so babyfied and boring now. I still somewhat like it, but even the movie was not scary and disappointing. Poppy playtime is just way more dark and has made me feel hope that indie developers including myself will make our games more dark and actually scary because people love horror, children love horror you take that away and it sucks, like modern Fnaf.
