Banban has successfully earned the achievement of me feeling absolutely nothing when playing a game. No excitement, no disappointment, just nothing. The stakes are almost non existent and every voice performance, even Bittergiggle, felt half baked.

Yeah... While I don't watch Core's content on the regular, I do know him rather well through another KZbinr I do watch, Sr. Wilson from the Colónia Contra Ataca channel. One thing I do know about Core is that he's very into indie horror. He might be Brazil's Dawko if that makes any sense 😅 and you can tell he wants these games to do well, to be good! So of course, what the Euphoric Bros did to him was just plain nasty. Worse, it was ignorant. All because they don't know how to take criticism like the babies they desperately don't want to let others know they are. What Core did afterwards, his public statement about the whole thing, and him refusing to give any more support to the Bros, was a very well deserved move. If they wanna bite the hand that only tries to help, then they clearly don't want nor deserve said help.

Regarding the point about Sir Dadadoo, when he first showed up (I was watching a no commentary playthrough), I didn't even realize he was a character that was meant to be notable and that I should care about until Bittergiggle named him in the next room. That's how out of nowhere and poorly written his introduction was.

Yeah... from what I can tell, he's the _only_ character to not having been introduced at all on any murals on the previous games. Even the fuckin' Syringe Sturgeon was introduced before him, and of course he didn't appear here proper. I guess they wanted to surprise us? I feel like Bittergiggle’s could’ve been executed better, because him suddenly being a good guy brings up interesting things, because if you remember Bittergiggle’s has a split personality, the purple side, and the green side, the green side was in control of his body in Garten of Banban 4, and the purple side was in control in Banban 6, unfortunately this cannot be explored anymore due to him getting caught by The Naughty Ones, however had he followed us down to the elevator, in Banban 7 we could’ve possibly seen him trying to battle both sides of his body, one moment he becomes aggressive, and the other he becomes good.

With Reincarnated and Spite of Spirits, I often wonder about the gameplay sequences in Banban and their potential if made with more competence. I also think about what the game would look like without the bloated narrative and bloated cast. A game that you could tell was crafted from the start to be something that was going somewhere without dragging on. It’s clear with each new chapter that it’s harder for me to envision such an idea. But after this one I want someone to out of sheer spite.

Im sure you remember (because it was literally a couple hours ago) that I said that I thought this game had 2 moments that were the best of the series but everything else sucked. Although I still stand by that, this video has laid it out for me and I realized how far down this game goes compared to the rest of the series. Also yeah, I know how you feel about the joke just not being funny anymore. As someone who also frequently covers this series, a part of me dreaded having to play this and if I didn't stream it then I probably would have stopped past the statue puzzle. The brothers either need to A actually start making decent games or B start unblocking people, stop being so salty and go full on comedy. Do I have much faith? Definitely not but they need to do something because otherwise a lot of people are going to get tired of keeping up with this series just for the joke, myself included. So what is my point to all this? well, as long as you do some pretty easy things such as putting in effort, trying new ideas, and try to focus on making something decent instead of something for money, you should be good, I usually always wanted to tell someone that "the more time you put in, the better it will be". Super Mario Bros Wonder did it from what I heard, Garten of BANBAN on the other hand, clearly only made for a quick product to make money....guess which one turned out better. overall, as long as you do things that work for your game and put in the time (including taking breaks when you need to, not only gives you time to relax, but also lets you change your ideas in the meantime), you should be good

As much as I love these games (To me they're so bad they're good), I think 6 started driving the story further and further away from the train tracks and towards the ocean. Remeber everyone, our primary goal in these games is to get our missing kid(s) back. So I have no clue why we're sunddenly trying to stop an army of leeches turning everyone evil. We don't need sir dadadoo as a villain. Stinger Flynn was already a good enough villain because we can vaguely understand his motivations, and he's contasntly tried to kill us. He's super hateable as a villain and that made him good. Now he just acts like some entitled karen trying to convince us that everything is our fault (Which there is definitive proof that it isn't) and he throws us into a dream sequence that is genuienly always the best part of the recent games. ... I forgot my point. And so has this game, and I'm all for it WHEEEEEEEEE-

Even during Uhyeah's playthrough, it makes absolutely no sense that 5 is a prequel and 6 is the sequel. Because...wouldn't it just be easier to just make the prequel its own thing instead of just a part of the numbering system? Wouldn't it be easier if 4 was that the parent is knocked out, Stinger Flynn does his stupid shit where he can show memories and that's the set up to 5? Something!! Chapter 5 feels like an even worse version of Fnaf 2!! Idk why it makes me irrationally angry but it does!

I understand it when a series that is only starting, or doesn't have a defined progression of storytelling with its entries, plays around with the chronological order of its entries. FNaF 2 being a prequel to FNaF 1 never bothered me. The series itself, from FNaF 1 to 6, kept going back and forth and somewhere in between, FNaF 2 literally defined that, especially when FNaF 3 released. I'm sure there are other acclaimed series that do funny things with the order of their entries. And then there's some of the newer indie horror games... Bendy introduced the whole chapter structure. As in, each new part started somewhere after the previous one ended. Consistent and concise. Garten of Banban went for the same thing (tho making all of the chapters literally distinct playable _paid_ games, and calling them _sequels_ instead of chapters), and it quickly established each new game as being directly after the previous one. Except 5, _we presume._ Why? I dunno, maybe they think 5 is a funny number. But in a series where the story/game progression is so straightforward, having the fifth game being a prequel isn't clever or a twist. It's just inconsistent, unlike FNaF, which was consistent in its anarchic order of games. If they wanted to do a prequel game, then they could've just called it Garten of Banban 0 or whatever.

I think I've figured out the way you fix this games main issue: Replace the drone with one of those little trains you can ride on. 1. The needing lights excuse still works as you can put light on the train 2. It forces you to stick to a limited set of paths in the form of the tracks 3. You could be forced to go run into the darkness and back to flip switches and/or to clear the way 4. You could suddenly be ambushed upon reaching a ripped up torn apart piece of track, forcing you to fly backwards towards the safe place in a chase scene introducing mr. Yabadabado and da bitchy ones 5. The choo choo Charles reference If banban 6, the fifth game in the banban saga, gets the remake treatment like the first did, that should happen

The drone light almost could have been a decent idea. Just give it two modes:a recall mode, and a scout mode. In recall, it automatically hovers above you head, keeping you safe, but giving you little to no info on your surroundings. You could send it into "scout mode" and order it to follow a path to reveal obstacles or threats in your way, but at the risk of leaving yourself in the dark while it operates if you don't follow it closely.
