The fault in our stars was a beautiful book. I just loved all those parts in the book that made me stop reading and think, like Oblivion, being a grenade, not having to leave behind a legacy, pain demands to be felt, etc. Its one of my favourite books not because of the whole boy-meets-girl-and-one-of-them-dies plot but because of how beautifully their stories were written. The part of your video that i absolutely did not agree with was what you said about All the bright places. It wasn't like TFioS at all. It helped a lot of people with mental illnesses. If you don't have any, you probably won't relate to the book, but if you do, you'll understand that the book is brilliantly written and very educational. This was a long comment, so thank you for reading it to the end.

Yeah.. I agree, John green's books have some boring plots.. But in overall perspective, he is a great writer. He writes incredible stories that are really reliable. To be fair, "The fault in our stars" is one of the greatest books in YA genre... I always amazed by the way he writes and the words he chooses are so meticulously chosen...!!!!

The fact is, new readers like stories with stories and when you become an avid reader, you start to look up into the writing style plot and characters, the way they influence you. So basically I being an teenager read all of these and liked it. But when I turn back into those pages I wouldn't like it.

I think fault in our Stars is a good read & it has more than just the ending...the egg throwing part...we don't need thousand people to like us & the Metaphor part is great ...The book has a great story...i really like the "little things" that the author potraits ..apart from the ending অনেকটা যেমন সে গন্তব্য নয় রাস্তা ভালোবাসের মতো ব্যাপার 😅 ।।

Btw, I too had a love story is good for someone who has no clue that the main character can die, like never read or watched Fault in our stars. If I remember correctly the name of girl was Khushi. And guy was the writer himself. Maybe a good change for people who only read indian easy-to-read novels

I totally agree with you about Fault in our Stars because the story becomes predictable after half read and every sentence said by Augustus looks like rehearsed and I didn't feel the connection with the characters while reading. My friend was like so shocked that I did not like fault in our Stars but hey that's my personal opinion. John Green is not for everyone I guess!

Okay....what I want to tell is Jenny Han's book To All the boys I've loved before was not about 3 girls falling in love with the same guy....it was about Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky falling in love....it's a series of 3 books.....give them a try

Wait what?!! All the Bright Places is a copy of Fault in our stars!! Well first of all I know art is subjective so I don't wanna talk about how three of my favourite reads appeared on this list back to back. But to call All the Bright Places a copy of The Fault in our stars is a really lame statement. Okay, thry both are a boy meet girl stories concerning a lot about death but then every other coming of age story is a copy of one another. In YA fiction the storyline is a mere vessel to show journey and change in outlook of its characters, being a teenager it only enhances your vision. So I think, ATBT and TFIOS both convey a very different message. And ATBT really made me realise i too was suffering from bipolar symptoms

I liked the book "To all the boys I have loved before". I do agree it is odd for the fact of all three sisters falling for the same guy like there are no other guys in the world. Though I relate with the main lead is that she was a reader and to top that she was afraid to drive. And I loved the fluffy feeling that the book gave me when I read. And I totally agree with "Insurgent". It was a total drag for the story. And for "Allegiant", I hate the ending of it. And totally hate Everyone has a story. It is in the top of my most hated books. A book about a story doesnt have a story of itself. How ironic.

Well if you have read To All The Boys I Loved Before, that's not the plot at all, LJ was best friends with Josh (btw he as their neighbour), but her sister Margot started dating him, and they break up in the movie, and her younger sister much liked him like as a neighbour as you are a fan of an adult in your neighbour. It wasn't the main plot at all if you have understood the book a little bit also.

"The Sialkot Saga by Ashwin Sanghi". I love his books and I'm still a huge fan but I was really disappointed when I read this book. Firstly, the plot was heavily lifted from Kane & Abel by Jeffrey Archer, so no points for originality. Secondly, it seemed that the book was jumping from one scheme to another and both men trying to over smart each other which is fine but the way it was told seemed to break the flow, for me atleast. Still I would have given it 4 stars had it not been for the climax which was completely bizarre. Not to give out any spoilers but had it been a mythological thriller, I would have absolutely loved it but after getting a "Kane & Abel" feel throughout the book, throwing THAT climax did not work for me. In the end I just wanted to finish the book only because I had already begun reading it and was almost at the end. Still I am a huge fan and have just bought Keepers of the Kalachakra. I hope this one is as good as Chanakya's Chant and Krishna Key, the reason why I became Ashwin Sanghi's fan.

The Kite Runner- I won't say that I did not like this book ,but Somehow I feel the ending of this book was quite dramatic. How Amir goes to Taliban camp and rescues the child that doesn't really go with the entire build up of the book. The suicide attempt of the child - ugh I didn't really get the ending.

Most of the English books written by Indian writers are very bad actually. I mean just think Cb, dd... All are very bad writers 😅 Also now when I think about TFIOS, I have so many mixed feelings about it. Like I don't like Gus's character at all. But, when I first read it, my little heart got overwhelmed. Maybe the book can be predictable but still I think it has so many different aspects to it and I like John's writing although some people argue that they are overly poetic and blah blah blah. But yeah the book gave me so much when I needed it, when I was depressed maybe. So,... Yeah. And the last thing I wanna tell u Helly that his last book TATWD is pretty good actually. It's not the best book but it really portrays mental health in a very good way which I didn't see in any other books. And I think it's kind of the book that makes u think about your whole existence for an entire week or so. So, u should try it and Noone dies in it😉

I also didn't like TATBILB. I haven't read ATBP yet but I think the ending of TFIOS is what makes it so beautiful and special. So, maybe ur opinion on it is a bit shallow 😅 I loved reading divergent, I enjoyed only some scenes of insurgent and cringed at allegiant, especially it's ending 😑. I would like to recommend u a book which is written by a Kerala writer is "BURIED THOUGHTS " by Joseph anamkutty Jose ,he is a famous RJ in Kerala and it is very simple language ,it consists of short stories which all are his real life experiences .I assure you won't regeret after reading that...it's really worth the time..and one of my favrt books... Everybody at my school was like crazy for this, The Fault in Our Stars, and you won't believe that I used to read it during my terminal exams because it made me feel that I was the loser who hadn't read it till then and when I finished it, I gave a false hope to my heart that, it was good, it's alright but like you, now that I think about it, I would have had scored better marks if I hadn't wasted my time reading it. The only thing which I liked about it was Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort's picture on the cover. The content was not at all my type. I have seen people comparing it to A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks because one of the protagonists dies due to cancer in both of 'em and if someone asked my opinion, even though I don't prefer Nicholas' works, I would still choose Walk to Remember.

Actually , I read 'the fault in our stars' recently .I liked it but the ending was not that much captivating..It should have been better.But I liked the message and the lucid language that is used in the book.I think that it is really easy to read the book . I agree with u that the book was predictable. But what I like the most about this book is certain quotes that are really heart touching and insightful . Various emotions that swirled through my mind when I read the book.. Even though I don't favour romantic books, I liked this one. The major takeaway that I did from this book is, this is the only moment that we own and we have to enjoy it as much as possible and everything in this world is temporary. But, as u said , many people don't like this book. Personally , I really liked the way all the characters have different touching stories to tell and the curiosities that arises in teenage minds and all .. anyway, I really like all your book reviews..keep going..It really helps me to pick the right books.❤️

I have seen " The fault in our stars " movie and i liked it. Also," To all the boys i have loved before" is quite popular movie as well and i agree the plot is a little weird to some people and they like the movie just because of the cute cast.

I like your videos and reviews but I actually liked Ravinder Singh’s book “ I too had a love story” . It is a true story of his life and his first book so I think you should not be so critical about the writing style😉

I like I Too Had A Love Story because the his words created the feeling in me he was trying to incorporate...but the one book I wanted to like the whole time but couldn't was Your Dreams Are Mine Now, because the whole story was based on the girl and her family sacrifices and in the end she f**king died 😱 and the end felt so casual that one reading the end only couldn't believe such tragedy had happened just few chapters back
