I'm glad you covered the use of witch hazel! Honestly its the only "old fashioned" step to my skin care. I unfortunately still get breakouts here and there and have very very oily skin. This may come across as strange, but I like to use witch hazel once or twice throughout the day when I'm wearing makeup instead of constantly plotting off oil. I literally just use witch hazel from the pharmacy section nothing gimmicky at all (its $3 or something) and then I put it into a little spray bottle and gently mist my face with it when I'm looking oily as hell. Feels refreshing for some reason. Could all be in my head, but I do see a difference and less oil. Never notice it break up any makeup on my face either.

I now use the witch hazel to clean my feet after gardening or walking, lol. I often get scratches or cuts and can't feel them because I have neuropathy. Last year I had a small cut get infected and it was quite serious, so now I give them a nice dousing of it so it can act as a disinfectant on cuts I may not be able to see.

@Satakieli54 жыл бұрын
I would rather pay that price for a cerave product than that serum. They are just loading their products up with ingredients that have no scientific studies to prove their effectiveness. They are riding the beauty scam of 'natural is better'. They claim the vitae serum has 31 ingredients to target wrinkles and aging but their product doesn't contain the only scientifically proven ingredient to target those issues which is retinol. From off the top of my head I'd say more than half those ingredients are more fragrance than effective for skin care. They advertise that their product has 72 botanical ingredients which should already be a big red flag and make you keep your distance. That's just 72 possibilities for sensitivity and a time bomb of allergies if you keep using the product.

Thayers original astringent works great for my oily T-zone and where I generally break out in white heads around my nose corners. I also have moderate rosacea on my cheeks and nose and it has helped! However, since I started a new medication (doxycycline) that makes my skin burn easily in the sun, I stopped the astringent as it DOES dry out inflamed/sensitive skin. I started using their alcohol-free toner twice a day and it's helping the rosacea w/o drying my skin. For the summer I will steer clear of the astringent but still use the toner. @Tara Lang tf u on about?? british accent is an umbrella term. obviously there is more specific accents. That's like saying there is no such thing as an American accent. like obviously there is 50 different states each with their own dialect and accents but it's JUST an umbrella term. Don't know why british people get so pressed about it like chill. sorry if that came off as aggressive i dont mean it to. pls dont take it wrong lol

dawg im dead Exactly! Some people want so badly to be superior and nitpick. Your comment isn’t aggressive imo. She opened herself up to a not so nice rebuff with the “simple enough” comment. Come off it.

Unsubscribed all other youtubers who don't say truth on some skincare ingredients . Glad that i watched your HA video. Keep making these unique videos.

I actually love my thayers witch hazel but I have very very oily skin. I tried finding anything for years that would help and here I am nearly 30 and I stumbled upon it while at target. Thought what the hell let’s try it. Best thing I could’ve done! My acne has completely cleared! I actually don’t wear foundation anymore! It’s been a god send to me but I know everyone’s skin is different! Love your videos so much! ❤️❤️

Totally agree on the science/ spirituality stuff! I love having crystals around, they look great, and if they really bring more positive energies into my apartment, then great, they certainly don’t hurt anyone. But like putting them on the skin? Why? I think one can believe in tarot and rituals etc, and still listen to sciences, when it comes to health and skincare (which also is a health issue after all). People act like you can just believe in one or the other, but no, I love both 😊

PREACH 🙌 That’s the problem with Huda, they’ve been known to copy products and take credit from it as if they were the ones who innovated the idea. Asian skincare more like Korean/ Japanese really is something they’ve revolutionized as clearly seen from their skins. Love how you are keeping it real in this channel, haters be jealous at how big you’ve gotten.

Witch hazel! I have combination skin and after watching a bunch of skincare videos during quarantine I actually discovered that for me, if I use some regular, steril pharmacy bought witch hazel on a cotton pad after double cleansing like ever couple days, it works so well! I only put enough so I can lightly swipe over my face and neck and I don't even allow it to soak the whole pad. It's helped keep my pores cleaner than usual. And then obviously follow with my serums and moisturizer. ALSO! I totally agree with the whole back your brand and give credit to your influencers as mucb as possible! If your into something and your passionate about it SELL IT! Don't do just enough give us more and explain how you got to where you are. I know Susan slightly messed up with her line and telling us too soon but damn! She is so excited about her line and so passionate about how everything works. She was so attention to detail on her ingredients and everything that goes into it. You can tell it's a good brand just by how she sold it, LIKE A CHAMP! anyway, much love ❤❤❤

AJ D the alcohol unscented one is amazing. It's common sense (alcohol is drying and fragrance irritating) many people generalize that ingredient has been used effectively for hundreds of years.

I agree about gimmicky - I would never pay $100 for the magic cream - nothing in there is worth it to me. I would love to hear your recommendations for a good hydrating eye cream and non-drying concealer that covers circles - I’m obsessed with finding something that doesn’t look like scales by 10am. I’ve tried so many eye creams, gels, oils, layering them, etc. and SO many concealers I’ve lost count and a lot of money. Let’s just say that lately I haven’t had to set Tarte Creaseless concealer and it still looks dry - that’s the most emollient one I know that covers. At this point I’m ready to throw in the towel and go sans concealer so everyone will think I’m tired and sick every day - what would you do for your driest client with dark circles? Thanks 😊
