And what so dirty should be there? It is only assembly factory. Every dirty part is built in different building or different supplier. They do only the assembling. Clean job. So many suppliers are involved in this final part of assembling (turbo, cables, sparcles, metal pieces...) and most of them do really dirty jobs. And all of them are annoyed with stupid rules of IATF. And all applause you made is this final factory.

I used to work for GMAD (General Motors Assembly Division) in 1978. I read that a bunch of Scientists found that factory workers listening to music performed better, could work longer hours and were generally much happier than factory workers that had no music. Of course they could not pick their type of music, but they listened because that's what was playing. I find it difficult to believe that none of these factories pipe music through the PA system. It's probably quiet because there are cameras and people watching, I'd guess after everybody is gone the music is turned back on.

With regards to the M96 engine, another issue that can cause cracks in the head is based in the coolant water pump. As the water pump ages, pieces of the internal plastic impeller can break off and these plastic bits will circulate within the cooling system. If these plastic pieces become lodged in the many small coolant passages within the head they could partially to fully obstruct the flow of coolant at that location. The combination of debris and loss of coolant flow can create localized hot spots in the head but can yield the same result, cracks in the head.
