What makes video so legendary isn’t moving up in the ranks, rather Tim is in full send waving to the corner station!

Well, you have to acknowledge flag signals from the corner workers. I believe this was a full course caution, so I had to let them know I had seen the yellow flags

Great fun with the guys in NASA's 944 Spec class! 16 cars in the class. I played it VERY cautiously at the start because: 1. there's an accordion effect of the group of cars into the first couple turns and that's where pile ups can happen. 2. I haven't raced with some of these guys and didn't know their driving skills and driving styles. So I let the field get more sorted out before I put my head down and started attacking for positions. You can see me sawing at the wheel as I try to keep the car balanced and headed in the right direction! You can also hear my open differential as I get wheel spin at various points on the track and try to keep that to a minimum by managing the throttle. Not too much too soon. I'll get one of those fancy limited -slip differentials someday..... :) The waving you see is me acknowledging the flag signals from the corner workers. Couldn't race without those good people doing their jobs. And thanks to our lads at CRE for the race prep. Car was trouble-free all weekend.

Some race highlights to point out: At about 15:00 minutes in, we get a full course caution ( double yellow flags). No passing and CATCH UP to the leaders, stay in single file and get ready to resume the race when the track is clear again. We go green again at 20:20. At 22:00, Kevin Fry slides sideways ( green 944 ) over the top of Lost Hill and another car goes off track left and causes a huge dust cloud across the track. Can't see! YIKES! I follow Everett's red and white 924S thru the cloud and use him for my radar to detect stalled cars within the cloud. At 23:35, I have a good run on Fry and a Miata as they go side by side out of the bus stop turn. I'm thinking - the Miata is slow and on the inside line ( left side ) and he'll probably stay on the inside line. Nope. He tracks out to the right just as I'm coming thru with a good head of steam. I drive off the track to avoid being hit and take a sliding ride thru the dirt at around 60-70? mph. Yee-haw! Checkered flag at 25:00. Thanks to all the 944 Spec racers for some great racing!

Kevin here, Good racing! I was concerned when I saw you behind me on that last lap haha I don't know if you saw but that Miata pointed me by through the bus stop. I was backing off to get a run at him, then he pointed me by and I went for it when I knew it was safe. You had a good recovery from the dirt though, barely slowed you down. Also for that slide on Phil Hill I was passing a few cars by taking the inside and a Miata came across me at the same time I saw the yellow flag at the last moment (my fault). So I checked up a bit for the nice drift over the hill

Thanks, Terry! I was trying hard. Still a little bit rusty. It was a busy, fun, ride. Come to the next event and hang with us 944 guys.

I chuckle each time you waved at the Marshalls 😂. Very race my brother!

Ha! I wasn't being overly friendly or cocky while driving fast. I was probably acknowledging their flag signals, which you can't see well.
