That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing. It’s a goal of mine to make it to that museum. I hope you got to see the original Porsche house too.

Really cool to see it all in the open and clean. This will probably help a few people put their cars back together. Thanks for sharing Tim.

I actually started answering questions from the public about the model! Funny. Great to hear from you, Dan. You guys are creating a nice group of 944's up there in Maine.

I believe that was made for a magazine advertisement in 85/86 showing the differences between the 944 and 944 Turbo.

I remember that ad, but it was more of an exploded view, i.e. unassembled.

Great video. I went in june this year too, and was clambering all over all the bits on the transaxle section, wondering why nobody else was , only to realise lots of markings on floor stating keep away from all the displays 🙂
@ComeauRacingEnterprises7 ай бұрын
Yep, I did the same thing. The plaque on the floor was pretty small and I didn’t notice it. In America, we would have roped off the display with stanchions! Funny thing is, two American girls were asked to get out of the Paris-Dakar 959 rally car. They were actually sitting in the car with the doors closed when the museum guys noticed them.

0:40 rusty bolt on the cam gear cover. there is a plug on the intake manifold right behind the throttle body that is not there in the production part

Yes, I noticed the rusty bolt too. Not sure what the plug would have been for.
