You're welcome. I thought youtube needed this because I couldn't find anything as complete. More to come so stay tuned.

Great job taking the engine out by yourself! You took your time were careful and methodical. I’m impressed. 👍🏼

@Jupiterider1 Thank you, when it's your first time playing with a $100k engine you take all the time and calculations in the world lol. These mezger motors are irreplaceable.

@@alhuegayle7550 I know what you’re saying. I own a very clean and lightly modded 2002 996tt. It’s not a 997 but it’s pretty close! I love all these Turbo Porsches! 👍🏼

@Jupiterider1 well that has a mezger motor also so it's no easy task tearing them down.

Ok. I’m late to the party on this one. First, I don’t even own one of those, and I kept watching. I do have a 996 Turbo which isn’t drastically different. Great video, great looking car. I’m at the precipice of pulling my engine, and hopefully I can do the same with my A/C compressor. Again, great work.

@@JohnMartin-uk6bi thanks brother and my advice is "just do it". What's the worst that can really happen lol. Take your time and do your home work and you should be fine. Patients is the name of the game.

@@alhuegayle7550 I appreciate the advice. Right now I’m debating on lifts, I’m only going to be at this property for another year, then I’m heading west. I’ll probably go the same route you did, but I haven’t ruled out a two post. Good luck to you, and enjoy that car, it’s awesome!

Wow, that's a job. I'm contemplating doing it myself..... or I was. I'm going to hand it off to a reputable shop. Great video series, going to watch all the way till end Best of luck. Car looks frigging sick 🏆🏆

Thanks for the DIY, what brand engine cart is that? Also which quick jacks are you using?

legend, finally dropped the engine, how did you manage to lift the car up another 4 inches, was there no risk of the car falling forwards? also that was a lot of things to disconnect but you got there!
@alhuegayle75509 ай бұрын
If you look under you'll see I used a wooden block and both my jack stands under the control arms and just jacked it up the additional 4 inches. No risk with car falling although I did have jack stands and wooden blocks as extra support under front control arms. It was smooth. I literally compressed about 5hrs of work into less than 30 minutes lol. Lots of little things but nothing one won't notice while doing the job.

@@alhuegayle7550 I was gonna say man that must have been a lot of hours of work! But now that you've done it once you may be able to do it a lot quicker and the fact that you are documenting it, it makes a huge difference
