Congratulations! These are really great cars that you can 100% support. Is your car sorted or do you have a project list started?

It's not sorted out but definitely a great platform to put some money to drive and enjoy.

Got my 87 3 years ago. Still pinch myself even when I walk by it in the garage. Put 5000 miles on it last year alone. Take the time, buy the manuals. Learn how to do some work yourself. Most importantly drive it and love it. Congrats

Awesome! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions with your build.

The proper oem airfilter box is missing. I don’t know why people are thinking that crappy Chienese sport air intake filters are good for the car. It is a well engineered car and there is a purpose why they put the filter box into it.

I still have the stock airbox and it's not going anywhere. It's off the car because I found it very difficult to get my hands behind the airbox to unfasten it for service. This filter is the MSDS unit and is legit in the Porsche community. They let in more dirt than the stock filter, are most efficient when cleaned and re-oiled frequently.

It is the 911, not just the 3.2 ENGINE.

Correct you are sir.

May I know which cone air filter do you have in your car? Thx
@3.2Carrera3 ай бұрын
Sure, it's the MSDS filter. www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-911-Msds-Filter-srch.html

Nice job pointing out some of the unique and cool features, I have an earlier G model with the 2.7 mag case. But I do have to disagree about the impact bumpers, USA safety regulations required them and to my eye, always looks "stuck on". Later years did a nice job of incorporating them in the the rest of the body lines.

The long hoods are certainly beautiful and an object of desire for sure. My earlier 1988's self lusted for the impact bumper Carrera, but my present self would like a backdated flared hotrod. Maybe soon.

what type of a gear knob do you have? seems like 917 wooden replica. also youve got G50 or 915?
@3.2Carrera2 ай бұрын
It's similar to a 917 knob, but not the same. Grotto_engineering on Ebay makes this particular one. I wanted to make sure I had the shift pattern of the G50 on the top incase I ever was forced to valet the car and it was an option with this knob. It fastens with set screws over the threads, but it has not moved at all in a year and a half. I think the things you touch on the car like the this and the steering wheel makes the car much better.
