1. Car is epic. 2. How is the "fun" factor compared to a GT4rs? 3. I don't know the track day rules at Spa, but that type of driving by Ron would def get Black Flagged and probably kicked off for the day, at my local 4.048 mile track.

As you said perfectly, I aspire for this car in my life. Will have one, not a question of if, only when. Amazing content guys enjoyed the content throughly. Was NOT expecting that ending though - “aggressive driving” very interesting. Clearly a relaxed day at the track.

Really fun video, guys! Be curious to feel how this compares to the 911 I drove on the Utah Adventure this year. I mean, I'm sure they're totally different, but that was my first time driving a 911 and it was just such a different feeling than anything I've driven before. Still not sure if I like it or not, and I guess I'd need more time in one to come to a decision.

Many many years ago most of the track was used as a public road, but there always was a bypass around Eau Rouge. Not one day though when, on my way down to Luxembourg in my AlfaSud ti, I found the bypass closed and the public roadgoing over Eau Rouge. So what do you do in a case like that? You floor it of course! If my memory is correct I was going at least as fast as Ron Simons in the video, but after all those years and seeing the specs of the old Sud (actually back then fairly new) that might not be entirely correct.

The reality is the difference in laptime between a 991.2 GT3 RS, 992 GT3 and 992. GT3 RS can be split by tire type e.g. the car on CUP2 R with the same driver will be quicker. Brakes don't stop cars - tires do. The aero only really makes a lot of difference on high average lapspeed tracks e.g. Spa (downforce is proportional to velocity squared). BTW Cup cars are considerably quicker than this - that begs the question, whats the point of this RS. Its simply another ~ 500HP Porsche - there has been no meaningful shift in power and torque since the 991.2 GT3. As road cars the 718 GT4 RS is the pick, more fun, more lively, better balanced and only marginally slower round track.
@CLSTRN911 Жыл бұрын
The GT3RS on slick tires is faster than the GT3 cup
@VK6AB- Жыл бұрын
@@CLSTRN911 No its not, its slower than a 991.1 GT3 Cup - I know I own one. Plus did 5 seasons of Carrera Cup. Also fully logged a 992 GT3 RS at Silverstone on Cup2 R with a 2:09.2 lap. Moreover if you run a RS on slicks you will over strain the RAS assembly. How do I know, I've done that too. :)
@BubuBarong Жыл бұрын
The 992 feels like it has a shorter wheelbase than a 718 because IT HAS a shorter wheelbase, not because of rear wheel steering...

Guys - do you think a relatively novice driver should be buying this? Is it too much car for a beginner and can it really teach you anything if the limits are so high? Btw, love the outro…the man is not putting up with silly Spa standards! 😂😂

If you’re wanting to lean how to drive on track, we recommend a low power well balanced car. This is too high a place to start, though a perfect place to end up!
