From the moment the Porsche Mission E was unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in 2015, enthusiasts were taken with the concept car’s looks and the promise of electric performance motoring that traditional auto manufacturers had ignored, leaving the field wide open for Tesla and that company’s Model S. Three years later, Porsche finally got around to announcing the production version of the Mission E would be named ‘Taycan’, a German word meaning ‘lively young horse’. The production Taycan has been launched and is now available in Australia, offering the one true rival to the Tesla Model S.

Electric cars should be tax free considering it's a environmentally friendly. The tax systems need to be updated

Just because there are no tailpipe emissions doesn't mean there are no emissions. EV owners already don't pay for the roads that that use so they are already freeloading on other road users.

It is the contribution that you, as a motorist, make to the development and maintenance of our road transport system. EV owners don't pay this so they are freeloading on other road users!
