The blocked vent behind chargeport is a passthrough if you get the manual charge door. Mentioned at 2:13. Also at 7:45 you can adjust the volume by using two fingers and sliding up and down on that display. Also the USA just announced the base Porsche Taycan rear wheel drive starting at 80k.

Very nice job. My 4S gets 280 miles in comfortable weather. Regen has three modes. Auto mode slows the car when the car in front slows. My front fender vents are definitely real. The leather interior is incredible. The base radio is excellent. The night vision and passenger displays are great.

The front fender vents are open if you have the manual charge doors, closed with the automatic charge doors because I believe that door mechanism would obstruct them anyway.

280 miles even when the AC is on in the Taycan? That's Tesla's achilles heel btw. When they claim 300 miles per charge it nets out to 230 or 240 when running the AC and other internals in the car.

The vent is real as far as I know. It's the one on the Turbo S that doesn't move. You can get closer to 260-300 mi range in normal in fair weather. That's what most owners are seeing. You're correct. It's EPAs greatly underrated. Great vehicle. Thanks for the review.

A bit surprised by the comment on the FAKE front fender vents ... (you should have a look again), also there is absolutely NO comparison between Porsche build quality and Teslsa... thought I had to mention it ;-) - Tesla is an Electrical Vehicle , Porsche is an Electrical Car....

Just bought one a couple days ago. I was debating between this and the Model S, but after driving this vehicle and feeling how much of a better driving experience it is, and the issues Tesla has been having with build quality, I went on this car. That color in the video is awesome! I got a boring by comparison jet black. If anyone is comparing these cars and considering them, drive them both, read and watch the reviews for negative and positives and make you choice. Reviewer here is right about some of the negatives with space, Tesla has this beat big time as well as tech. The Plaid will out run this car too, but in the curves or on a track, Porsche will do it’s thing.

I ordered a 4S last week, too. In driving experience and built quality, there is no comparison to Tesla. Hard to believe anything changes with the Plaid, even if it is crazy fast in a straight line.

Laguna Seca is a track with curves like Nurburing the green hell, 20km in the forest less 40sec than the Porsche, i rather have quality issues less expensive and killer on those tracks that overpriced car.

There is no competition for the Taycan. Tesla makes mainstream and premium cars, this is a Porsche, it's a very expensive luxury toy. If I had the money I would choose it over a Tesla, but it is not "reasonable", the Tesla is a lot less expensive with more room, a better range and a better charging network. That say, I would also never buy a Tesla as long as they continue to be the Apple of the car industry (going against right to repair and things like that).

The simplicity and low maintenance of electrics is hard to deny. What is missing is the infrastructure to support fast home charging at affordable prices.. Most homes are not electric friendly.and I worry that power companies will take advantage of electric vehicle owner's. But not to worry, if they do decide to play unfair, will cut them out of the equation and design solar car ports, charging stations,etc .

Fun fact 2:17 the front wheel vents are closed to accommodate the automated charge doors previously mentioned by Forest. Order the standard manual doors and the side vents will be open and functioning as originally designed! ;)

I would definitely pay to get that color but would not pay for the key to be the same color. I originally considered the Taycan a dud due to the range numbers but since Porsche numbers on range are understated versus Tesla numbers overstated and the otherwise brilliance of the Taycan, I've come around to thinking it is brilliant as long as your use case doesn't need the Tesla supercharging network.

That is a dayum fine vehicle. Inspired by this video, I just configured a base model, but dang you can get to $100,000 before you blink. Stupid expensive.TBH, I'd rather have fully effing loaded Model S than a well-equipped base model Taycan. I'm curious how the Audi e-Tron GT will ultimately turn out in terms of value.

Great video covering the car. My issue is, when you're paying $108,000 plus for a car you shouldn't have to pay more for that, paint, remote or electric power cover. Also like others have said, interior looks cheap.

Corvette is a great car with combustion engine but 1. its not an EV 2. the built quality is not on the same level 3. you can't fit 4 people into it Cayman??? its a small sportscar with probably one of the worst engines Porsche has ever built. Totally different segment again.

Huh? My Taycan Turbo (with the 21" wheels, which make it even thirstier) regularly sees 240+ miles of range when driving at real freeway speeds (80 mph). Based data I've seen, a Tesla Model S Long Range (EPA range 402 miles) actually only goes about the same distance in the same driving conditions despite having a battery that's about 7% larger. The Porsche turns out to be surprisingly efficient at highway speeds. And it's pretty far from being junk.
