When the Taycan can be parked in the way you show, so the cable reaches to it's charge port, it wouldn't block any other Tesla Superchargers, even if you chose any other stall, as front right (Taycan) and rear left (Teslas) are generally the same position*, only that the car is parked the other way around. *the charger in both cases is on the right "sidewalk" position of the car when viewed from the driveway. Thanks for demonstrating this, Felix!

Your phone display shows: Tesla Supercharger Breukelen, Netherlsnds 150 KW max (at 6:11 minutes) So 123KW is not that bad I guess
@KIA_E-NIRO_MY203 жыл бұрын
Tesla superchargers only give 410 Voltage, and the battery of the taycan is a 800 Voltage battery. Then does it have to be converted to 800 volts by the car itself, and I think that's why the car doesn't charge ultra fast...
@dufonrafal3 жыл бұрын
Yes it has to convert to 800V. I believe that know all the Taycan have a 150kW DC/DC converter but originally it was an option so some will only charge at 50kW.
@ddmvgaming9326 ай бұрын
No the Taycan has 2 400 volts battery units that the onboard charging controlunit reedo to 800V . That's why Porsche and Audi GT can charge at Tesla station and Kia has problems with there 800 volts cars.
@KIA_E-NIRO_MY206 ай бұрын
Okay interesting, yeah kia cars with their 800V batteries do have problems. But this porsche Tycan can charge with more than 200kW. So it won't do the full charging speed
@ddmvgaming9326 ай бұрын
@KIA_E-NIRO_MY20 Yes the GT / Taycan can charge up to 270 kmh

Damn with my Model S it takes Not a Second between Plugin and Charge. Tesla this has to be enhanced

That’s because Tesla runs an independent network that works with third-party apps. Other manufacturers don’t have a network that’s nearly as advanced.
@shazmalik1 Жыл бұрын
The main reason holding me back from moving from my Tesla to a Taycan is the lack of charging network in the UK to support the car. The Tesla network was my only hope for the Taycan, but that was a painful and slow experience!

I filled up my Porsche Panamera with Premium Unleaded in 1/4 of the duration of this video. Tell me again why EV's (powered by electricity but sourced entirely by coal, natural gas, petroleum, and diesel is better? And don't get me started on wind turbines that never, ever pay for themselves and the energy required to make them!
@SISTIC1 Жыл бұрын
Supposedly to reduce harmful fumes escaping into the atmosphere-global warming stuff. But you’re right, electricity is mostly produced via combustibility, which contributes to the very thing governments want to reduce: harmful gases! But the way things are going we’ll all be long dead by a nuclear WW3 exchange anyway!
@hadiorabi69211 ай бұрын
In an ICE the engine converts only 25% of the energy generated from fuel. The rest goes to heat, which affects other components of the car. In en EV, the energy consumed by the powertrain itself is close to 90% and only 10% is used as heat. So components last way longer, and utilization for our finite resources is much higher (I personally care about the first part more tbh)

Nope - not even close@@sfminers2534 I have four friends that have EVs and their cars have been in the shop - collectively - for 46 weeks. My car has NEVER been in the shop - travels 600 miles on a tank of gas easily. So I call B.S.

My 0-60 in 5 seconds Taycan is cheaper to run than my old 1.5l diesel A-class. Is that a good reason? I charge it overnight so I never have to stop anywhere to fuel my car. Good reason?
@BigLebowski13372 жыл бұрын
Why would you want to do this.. just to be off cheaper? I don’t get it. Typical Dutch trying to save a few cents whereas spending way over 100K on a car.
