Maybe you could get some white foam core board that you can easily cut with a knife to the shape of that window, then cut two holes the size of the tubes. It’s pretty sturdy and would be easy to pop in place when you want to use the ac unit. Would definitely solve the privacy, bug, air insulation problem. So happy you got this Tracey!

Oh Tracey! This might be just the thing that we will need for our van! We had a window unit in where the back window was and with him being a carpenter, he took the window out and carefully curved some wood, layer by layer so it would hold the unit and the unit stopped working. Maybe due to him using the door, we aren't sure, but this would get rid of that thing hanging out of our van window and I'm sure this would do the trick! This video couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you! We have 900 watts of solar which is enough to run a complete RV. I'm excited but I have to wait for him to get home and watch your video.Thanks!

I’m so glad you got this, it really is life changing! I have one & it works great! 😊 I agree with another comment, insulate the exhaust vent hose with reflectix or some type of heat barrier to make it more efficient & try a big water jug for the drain hose, that’s what I do and it’s working well for me. Tracy can you use plexi glass an run you vent hoses out two holes drilled into the plexi glass then you can semi roll up your window for security. Hope this makes sense.

This could be a game changer. I can handle cold much easier than heat, but I also have furbabies to think of who want to go everywhere with me. This could make it possible.

It'd be better for that window if those hoses were not round, but flat and long. Maybe there is an attachment that will adapt the size.

Hi Tracy, looks like a nice AC unit but I'd be concerned about needing to have a window open for the exhaust, not just for security but also for bugs getting into the van. Maybe you could jury rig something to plug up the opening not used by the exhaust hoses.

Thanks for the video. I'm researching for an upcoming cargo trailer conversion and curious about how this unit may work. The trailer is 7x14. On a side note, I could see a portable power station in the background. Can't quite make out if it is the Zendure or Vanpowers unit(virtually the same evidently). How do you like it? I'm interested in getting one to augment my installed solar power system. Anyway, take care. Happy travels.
