Nah that was free revving, not with actual load. One time it did go up to 12500rpm. Still nuts imo because I never EVER pulled that high before. Sad because I had room for more while riding. I'll try again with either a new cylinder or repair the minarelli some day

Yeah i need to upgrade brakes. Felt faker soon tho
@TechTokOffical6 ай бұрын
might be easier and cheaper to just replace the bike. Set up a patron and get us to fund a bike meant to go that fast with disk brakes and transfer everything over. It's not just the brakes ur gonna have to worry about, just like a car when u beef up one part to make it "optimal"to beef up EVERYTHING. In this case brakes,suspension even the bearings in the wheels aren't made to go those speeds for extended periods of time considering a fit cyclists max speed is like 25

Ripping I hope to some day have a bike that goes that fast
@trentbikes6 ай бұрын
you'll get there easily I promise you. It doesn't cost so much either. All it take is at least a minarelli (CMB wildcat minarelli for $200), good porting for more performance and upgrades like rmh minarelli pipe or at least 50cc jog pipe on amazon, balancing crank and good carb etc and you'll easily get up to 50mph+ depending on gearing and weight, maybe 60+. An athena sport for $170 on amazon, all it takes is drilling those stud holes to fit m8, upgraded cnc head for better cooling and already hit 50mph+ at 11krpm+ on 40T sprocket EASILY.

You can’t hold any motor wide open like this for that long until it’s broken in and not running poorly. This was inevitable, but at least you had fun. I hope you tune the next one cause that should be the first thing you do after building and putting it on bike.
@trentbikes6 ай бұрын
Yes you can, as long as it's tuned correctly, built correctly (good squish gap, bearings, etc) and not overheating like over 300F etc. My minarelli was already broken in 2 months ago. Before I ported the minarelli, I pinned it going 9krpm 50mph constantly a lot for like probably 150-200+ miles total. Never had issues. That is until, it turns out the big conrod bearing finally failed (from piston hitting the head lol, on top of that free revving so high, while it was happening too other times), pieces falling apart and killed it. I mean, those are scooter cylinders, people pin it and go fast on scooters with those cylinders and do just fine.

Also it's completely unnecessary to widen down the intake skirt to fully open the piston ports at BDC. It's not going to give you any more performance it turns out.

Next time dont dremel right next to the bottom end just to play it safe. I thought for sure you were gonna crash for a second. Hitting the curb at that speed hurts, Ive done it and it destroyed my bike, my hand and my shoulder will never be the same. I hope your wearing a helmet.
