The way you completely finish each part before moving on, such as the eye. Is deeply impressive. Most artists need to roughly get the whole face in, then slowing bring it into reality. You have all the blending and colours already complete in your mind, and it's extremely impressive. Every painting is the same technique, start with the left eye, complete it, etc. Amazing and very very beautiful style. I'd love to see a show of your whole palette at the end of a painting. :)

Thank you! Yeah this way of paitning seems to me more neat and organized. I still paint “from general to specific” (meaning I work on bigger shapes and only then on details) but I go about it one area at a time. I don't like to spread colors or block out shapes too far, like the whole face at once for example. I develop portraits gradually; bringing the parts I work with near completion and then “jumping” back and forth / returning to the parts that need some adjustment and I work on a portrait as a whole. Some little parts of the process are skipped in the time-lapse videos by the way so it's not as obvious I guess. Thank you for the comment! :)

I tend to overwork my paintings and that means It takes me a lot of time to finish a paint. How much time does it take to you to finish a portrait? This one, for example. You are an inspiration for me, I loved your work since the first time I saw it ♥️

The time I work on a painting varies depending on its size and complexity, but in general it takes me about 20 hours (or a little more) to make a smaller painting like this one. I like to work on a painting over the course of several days, and it’s quite hard to count how much time exactly I spend on any given painting. Thank you so much!
