Because we filmed this Monday just after the big Easter weekend, ALL restaurants we visited were out of bacalhau. Can you believe that? So yeah, the hunt for bacalhau a bras and other cousins will continue. We haven't given up on the cozida portuguesa, but that goes without saying! Thanks for watching guys!

and in summer try the caracóis (snails ) with a bear, watching the sunset on a nice place near the river (maybe in the other side of the Tejo River, in Cacilhas. You take a ferry in Cais do Sodré, it's a nice trip, gives another perspective of Lisbon and it´s cheap).

Keep up the good work guys, I actually studied close to Santa Apolonia you guys have been to the restaurant next to where I used to lunch everyday (RC Restaurant) btw you can try them, they are very good at cooking, it's a Brazilian chef. Guys! First of all - CONGRATS on your 10k Subscribers (ekhmm, 11k now ;)) I absolutely love your videos and been watching your videos at least a few times a week since I've discovered your channel. Funny story - my boyfriend showed me your video (pros and cons of living in Portugal) a couple months ago when we decided we are moving to Portugal (we're now based in London) and I literally fall in love with this country even more! But also with your channel, especially the fact how lovely you both are promoting Portugal (which in my opinion is soooo underrated), your positivity, transparency and tons of informative content. Keep it up Guys! You will do amazing, it's just a matter of time. And perhaps we can meet in Portugal one day when we're officially moved in :)

It's very interesting that point you made about the appearance. It really depends on where you go. "True" or classical portuguese cooking will never be fancy looking. We are very modest people and that shows in our foods. This is a good and a bad thing of course. Amelia's point about the fats/oil is also true. We use it in most things but there are alternatives that almost everyone uses these days. But a classical dish is a classical dish :) Another amazing video, keep going my dear friends.

The best bread in France is made, imagine, by a Portuguese family. In other words, the best baguette in Paris this year came from the Aux Délices Du Palais bakery, founded by António Teixeira. The Portuguese baker, who had emigrated to France for more than 40 years, who had already won the prize in 1998, won the Best Baguette of Paris contest again, with the help of his 24-year-old son.

you are experiencing the one thing that sets portugal apart from all other countries in the world, many have a good climate like ours, none has better food than ours. Portuguese people when they travel abroad , the one thing they miss the most is food :)

What about northern food, such as "tripas à moda do Porto", "rojões à Minhota", "posta Mirandesa" or even "francesinha", the most typical Porto dish of all, beside tripas of course... you should go to the north of Portugal and give it a try, i promise you wont regret ! By the way, i 've discovered your vids yesterday and i'm enjoying it a lot. I've already subscrived your channel, keep up the good work !

Forget the Cozido in Lisbon. Get back to the Furnas and have it there! Fresh from the ground

ah I live in the country of croissants but nothing beats a portuguese croissant... the problem with french pastries is that they are beautiful but taste like beuurrkkk !!!!! Yeah aesthetics is important but taste even more, french patisserie for example is an illusion and I'm always decieved by it. Sorry for the french around here !

Thanks, Ricardo. They are from Thom Browne. I bought them in Olhar de Prata at Avenida de Liberdade in Lisbon. www.mrporter.com/en-pt/mens/product/thom_browne/round-frame-metal-sunglasses/1096532?ppv=2 - this is the model, but I paid 865€. Don't know why they are much more expensive on Mr Porter, but I don't know the model name.
