I just discovered this show; it’s hilarious! The way Richard E was describing extra virgin olive oil as “tarts” and “hussies” 😂🤚

Richard E. Grant who is the star of this show, was the Doctor at the animated Doctor Who webcast, Doctor Who: Scream of the Shalka. Originally thought to be the 9th Doctor until the reboot in 2005. Now we can call him "the Shalka Doctor"

"Extraordinary food for ordinary people". It would be great if the whole series were released on DVD one day. Was the book advertised on here actually ever published? YOU are an extraordinary youtuber to have uploaded this very rare series! Thank you! :)

@corpsemunger Although Scholl does a lovely rendition of this song, the version used here is by countertenor Alfred Deller and guitarist Desmond Dupre.

You probably don't watch enough cookery shows especially in the 80s and 90s to get the jokes and humour. There's a lot of references to cookery shows like Delia Smith, The Two Fat Ladies, Fanny Cradock, Rick Stein, Keith Floyd and Loyd Grossman. Also you probably didn't shop in Waitrose in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s like my grandparents did.

@Andrew Whitney I've done all that..lets take the middle class out of this sketch and believe me there are no jokes..the joke seems to be a lefty scriptwriter taking the mickey out of the Aga green wellie types.
