Ok, I’m totally that guy on the left. Thanks for showing someone who swings similar to me and the fact that it can be changed!

Very nice, solid swing coaching. Every detail is well-explained to make sense for weekend golfers' minds. Golf is really a game of opposites. Swing on the left seems to use the arms/ hands to draw the proper swing plane - and it turns out too steep. Swing on the right seems the whole club is stuck behind - yet with the continuous hip and chest rotation, it turns out to be on plane. Very enlightening concept from this particular young instructor. Interesting, and thank you very much for clearing the myth of proper swing plane dynamics.

Can't wait to start some lessons with you man. This one move has been revolutionary in how I feel the rotation. I am just like Jeremy was in the way my but moves in at impact, even when I tried very hard to push my right hip back in the backswing! Also Kudos on your videos on Lag the industry as whole needs a referendum on what lag means. Cheers.

I have started following the type of ideas you have presented and see great results whilist I need to use ground forces more but I think it will come when I get more comfortable doing this. Love your videos keep it going!

Great video as usual. One question... can you state what his improved swing did for his stats as far as carry and offline and club/ball speed, etc? It would be great to know in order to show how the improved swing can help. Thanks

we aren't chasing numbers here, we are building a foundation that allows us to go any route we want with curvature and predictability. we will tack on speed later in the offseason, but in the short term he is decreasing the overdraws that he was prone to get =)

Also noticeable is that at P7 the eyes are looking at the ball in the image on the left and are looking out ahead of the ball in the image on the right. (Is the valid?). As always great analysis, thanks. 👍

its only happens when he exaggerates the movement in partial speed =)

Great content again and a problem fixed just by Torqueing the right foot, amazing. Larry how do you know so much? Were you a tour player? And you have a fine eye to pick up the small details in a swing

This is awesome - does this provide more speed as well? If so, what's the difference in carry between the first and second video?
@LarryCheungGolf3 жыл бұрын
it can definitely increase speed but this was just the start of it so wasn't trying to increase speed here, just trying to change the movement =)

Thanks Larry. With the steeper swing (left) would Jeremy’s misses be blocks right and hooks (flipping through impact)? Two way miss. With the swing revisions what are pattern of the misses? Many thanks.

Patrick Reid They were my misses Patrick and I had similar technique also.

it could yes, smaller misses once it get better lol =)

Larry, I was playing around with your cardboard drill and think I may have stumbled onto something I tend to turn my hips too early in the BS and then my sequencing can get off. I started doing the inverse of your cardboard drill in the backswing to stall the hip rotation. Not restrict, but just give the club a head start so my hands and hip arrive at their final destination at the same time Backswing = torquing the foot towards 9 o clock, then torquing it back towards 3 o clock in the downswing It seems to be syncing up my swing really good and completely eliminating any little sway or steepness I would have from time to time Viable feel?

Regarding the Torque, does the clockwise rotation of the right foot happen in the ball of the foot or more towards the heel? Great video!

Larry great video. I do have a question: Can the torque be preset in the setup or does it need to happen when the downswing starts? The reason I ask is because back in the day Mike Maves (aka Sevam1) talked about the torque in his right foot however, he presets it in his set up. What's your thought?
@golfnut694 жыл бұрын
Sean Miller I pre torque my foot a la Mike Maves and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t affect my technique in a negative manner!

i don't prefer the preset =P

As an early extender (hcp 8) I need to do this, but Torquing the right foot clockwise seems so alien. Doing it anti-clockwise seems natural, the other way, I’ll break my leg haha.. would love more help on the Torque 👍

you need to check the earlier Larry video, he show how to use a piece of card to get the correct feeling of torquing

Another good video LC. Any advice for golfers who still slightly extend despite the rear foot torquing?
@golfnut694 жыл бұрын
EE is an effect, if the space between you and the ball decreases before impact then you will see some posture issues (EE). To optimise your impact position, you have to maintain the space between you and the ball. Mike Malaska has done some great content on this. Torquing the right foot won’t stop EE if a golfer is really steep in transition amongst other things.
@LarryCheungGolf4 жыл бұрын
you probably need to push your but back more as you torque your rear foot =)
@kevochanner88594 жыл бұрын
Larry what does the right foot actually do.? Is it just that the heel stays on the ground and allows you to push off with a full foot. Thanks
@LarryCheungGolf4 жыл бұрын
its digging into and torquing the ground =)
