I'm 450 lbs, with a whole bunch of weight loss attempts under my belt. All I want to say is: Just don't get fat. If you aren't fat already, trust me. You don't need that pizza. You don't need that ice cream. Don't buy it, don't stock it in your house, avoid that shit like the plague. Do keto. Sugar is an addictive drug. I am an addict, I just have more stretch marks instead of track marks. Go to the gym and get fit before you get to the point where you destroy your body just by walking. For the love of god, just don't get fat.

If you read the Atkins book, you quickly come to understand it's primarily a problem of sugar, which is quite readily converted into glucose (and fructose.) The starches have a far lower GI. And sugar, which used to be considered harmless, today is in everything which makes eating healthily next to impossible. Amusingly cutting sugar from the diet is in fact sufficient to lose weight quite quickly, which is what I did two years ago on a whim. All I did was bake a bread without salt to fix my salt imbalance, and I threw in sugar on a whim. Combining sugar-free bread and sugar-free jams created a weight-loss bread which worked so well it might conceivably be turned into a product. I lost 20 kg in half a year, lol. Later on I started putting my bread in the freezer, which does a better job of preserving it than sugar ever did. Just pre-slice it, and individual slices can be brought out and heated just fine.

Incoming Info Dump: I recommend, based on my experience in losing weight, the following: Breakfast: Eggs, pork, two slices of toast, glass of milk, cup of coffee. Proceed to do a morning warm-up. (Refer to calisthenics guides for more details. I recommend military basic training calisthenics) Workout when fat: 1 mile of walking (add jogging if you're able), lift weights starting from the heaviest you can for a week. If you feel that you can do more, add that after you rest from your initial workout (ten reps of the heavier weight if possible). Lunch: A decently balanced sandwich and 8 oz of orange juice (or apple juice). Rest for the rest of the day unless you're feeling stiff (or you have to work). Dinner: go easy on yourself, maybe treat yourself, but make a responsible decision. If you want something sweet after, make sure you check the sugar content. Considering (and I'm assuming you're American like myself) that most Americans are used to consuming sugar, I don't recommend completely eliminating sugar until you actually can feel a lack of desire for the sweet stuff. Most diet bros will be like "you gotta kill all the sugar from your diet", but I'm here to tell you that if you're like me and ate a lot of sweets growing up, it's not getting out of your system overnight.

Wasn’t fat ,but was kinda average/scrawny with more body fat than I wanted. One day I said “I’m tired of not being happy with my appearance. I’m gonna do something about it.” Got a trainer, hit the gym, changed my diet completely. That was 5 months ago. Now I look in the mirror and see a man, not a boy. I have people that haven’t seen me in months drop their jaws and people at work comment on my physique daily. I dress better now. I’ve remodeled my room. I’m finishing graduate school this year. I have respect for myself that I didn’t have before. Getting in shape does so much more than make you look “good”. I start my cut in April to get my six pack. Best shape of my life. Honestly, I think a lot of body positivity stems from unrealized self-hatred and pure envy. They hate seeing others succeed at self improvement because they can't or won't themselves, so they call anyone else's announcements of success in it as fat shaming, when, in fact, if they put as much energy into self improvement as they did "fatctivism", they'd probably shape up and be much happier. I'm not saying you have to be thin to be healthy, but self-improvement almost always improves people's outlook, and excercise has been proven as well. Come to think of it, I think a lot of 'intersectionality' probably just comes from projected self hatred and envy.

That's actually really healthy in terms of nutrition. I learned a thing or two about nutrition from my Dad (who is a Doctor) and that's why I've never been obese. Rice gives you plenty of carbs (which is needed for a workout) and is almost as good in terms of getting fit as Spaghetti and meatballs. Beans and legumes have incomplete proteins (which is good for your digestive system) and meat has protein in it which you need to build muscle. Veggies keep your intestines clean and are pretty calorie light. You're doing great despite your limited finances. Keep it up!

@@Gamerguy826 almost correct, dry rice is the type you dont want, as it is basicly just empty calories, after being procsesed to the point, where all nutrients are removed, but the emty calories stay. This has become a problem in asia, as "white rice" and proscessed nutrient unriched rice has become the norm, and asia is curently seing the same problem as the west when it comes to projected obesity. One of the things that made it take as long for it to show so much, was that "family cooking" and family structure in asia has held up much better compared to the west, but calory rich food and/or carbohydrate rich food is still a masive projected problem

@@tumamaencosplay there is also alot of missinformation on how to do a keto diet floating around (basicly most ppl only know the hardcore starving part, but not the others), I as an example use the Omad version, where i simply just eat one meal a day (fits perfectly for me, as i have a realy seditary lifestyle, and a bit to lazy for my own good, so I only eat one meal a day, mostly staying away from carbs, but it is not a hardline no carb diet.) I am now at the point, where i can realy imagin the carbs before i eat alot of food, simply by the fact, that carbs make me kinda sick now (if there is to much), compared to a balanced meal. My tastebuds are also improved alot, now that i dont get as much carbs and artificial sweetener and sugar, I can actualy taste the natural sugar in things at a much higher rate, making eating healthier taste better than unhealthy food. Good lord, there are only two reasons why anyone would say that losing weight is not an accomplishment: They never tried it, ever. They did, failed miserably and are now just desperately trying to cope like "Nyeh, I didn't want to lose weight anyway, so stupid ..." The human body is literally built to become fat. There is nothing easier than begetting fat. Your body is hard wired to store as much energy as it can in anticipation of difficult times. It can be a monumental task to work against that. Keeping a calorie deficit without triggering your bodies emergency mode is difficult. Watching what you eat is difficult. Being physically active is difficult. And it requires consistency. Discipline. Mindfulness. Losing weight and staying fit is a major accomplishment.

The patients didn't get Type 1 mind you, they just had the pancreatic issues mirroring Type 1 that the doctor my family member works for believes was their body reacting to the diet. There is not a proven causal link, but the doctor has encountered this and a myriad of other health problems in several different patients on keto. Enough to the point that he doesn't believe it is coincidence, and he has gone so far to recommend his patients try something else. @@alpharius2omegaboogaloo384 I doubt a person would be such a pathetic fuck that they have to shit in a bean bag which they then proceed to sit in ordinarily. I refuse to believe that.

I found it surprisingly easy to just like... not eat shit for a while when I went on a cut. Just dropped soda and shit like that from my diet, stopped drinking coffee for many months, and started eating more eggs, red meat, and rice. Dropped 30 pounds in 8 months by just eating like 1600-1800 calories a day. Now that I'm trying to bulk it's actually way fucking harder to consistently eat a large amount of calorie and nutrient dense foods on a consistent basis. Tldr: I weighed 220 pounds at the start of february this year with what I believe is called a skinny fat physique, now I weigh 190 and have a pretty bomb ass amount amount of muscular definition. Dieting, no matter what gimmick your diet has, like keto, or vegetarianism, or whatever, as long as you eat under your daily caloric maintenance by a decent margin, it works. It just takes time, usually many months, and you need to mentally prepare yourself for the fact that you will see the same thing in the mirror for many many months. But someday, you'll see change, then a little more, then more. Someday you'll look in the mirror and be really fucking happy with who you see. You just have to try.

25:10 This is the one that always gets me. It doesn't necessarily apply to just obese women, but I've known quite a few in the past who were a bit chubby. Nothing awful, but they all had the same things in common: Interested in male model type builds, preachy online about "body positivity", all worked sedentary office jobs, but most important, they were all lonely. Their standards for what they consider attractive doesn't get applied to themselves. Have preferences all you like, but don't be surprised when your "type" applies those same standards to you, and don't you dare complain. This goes for guys, too, but it's a little different. There are many guys complaining online about how lonely they are, but they never focus on themselves and stick to their same terrible habits. If those same people focused on becoming the best versions of themselves, I guarantee most of them would find someone. But sitting around and complaining, down in the dumps, is easier.

I thought I was reading English but turns out I was reading facts. What you wrote is something I identified too and I believe it is a major part of why people feel so miserable. people confuse accepting yourself and staying the same as you are and stagnate. While in reality, self acceptance has always been about accepting your flaws so you can improve yourself and grow as a person.

When will lazy become an identity? Since I was a child I never liked physical or mental exertion. I've always been aware of my aversion to physical and cognitive exertion. Project deadlines are traumatizing capitalist oppression. You're welcome to keep this going in the reply section.
