Recently I got 4 23GA nailers by FLEX, METABO, Milwaukee, and DeWalt. Using different length nails, into soft and hard wood, lloking for those that would not leave a mark (besides the pin) on the wood. sometimes you can not fill that hole. I did adjust the nailers to shoot nails what would not be proud, and sink all the way in. Metabo leaves ~4mm mark, Flex ~2mm mark, Milwaukee and DeWalt perfect entry - no marks. the Flex and Dewalt look very similar, almost the same dimensions, Milwaukee is smaller and use 12v. Flex, Metabo, and Milwaukee have good light, in the DeWalt it is located on the back, and does not do much. Adjusting the depth, is the best on the Milwaukee, without lifting any cover, or using Allen keys on the Metabo. My best choice is the DeWalt or the Milwaukee Dewalt for more power and longer nails, Milwaukee is for size, and easy of use). both Metabo and Flex go back to the store. 24V on the FLEX does not make it more power-full than the DeWalt.

Maybe I missed it but I am surprised you didn’t mention that these guns can be refilled by the user. Flex now sells an adapter to easily refill their nailers. One adapter will fit all of their nailers I believe and they sell it for around 49.99. Metabo HPT are refillable at home as well, but you have to purchase a separate regulator for each size nailer and they are really intended to be sold to tool techs.

@@aaronrichardson7272 I asked him beforehand in an early video about the Flex nailers and he had no idea what I was talking about. I didn’t know about needing the different regulators on the Hitabo HPV guns. I had presumed there was only one. I’m glad I saw your comment. I’ll look into it.

i shall stick with my Metabo HPT 36v nailers as well as the 18v ones too, for their easy-to-claim Lifetime warranty! Flex seems to be almost going into bankruptcy! The employees at Lowe’s tell me that they’ve never seen anybody buy the Flex tools!
@robertrada478322 күн бұрын
@@briha3142 It’s all relative. Outside of car detailing and stone work, most Americans never heard of Flex until the black and grey cordless lineup was launched. They’re probably already moving more stock here than Fein and Metabo. So on their scale, they’re doing huge. Chervon makes Kobalt, Skil and Ego, so they’re staying at Lowes whether Lowes likes it or not. It doesn’t mean much that Lowes never moves much of their Flex stock. Lowes doesn’t move much power tool stock, period. All I see is them growing in their native market despite the conversion from a mostly specialised brand (car polishers, drywall sanders, metalworking drum burnishers, and grinders just because they invented them…maybe a festool detail sander knockoff) to Chervon’s mid to up market general cordless brand. They’re starting to migrate the small amount of specialised 18v stuff they sold here to the 22v line just in this market, so they’re definitely serious.

I got the 18g crown stapler for cornerbead installation and the internals broke on me. Didn't last a month. Luckily their warranty is excellent so a week later i got the replacement but still. Plan on maki6a video because i also got the new skil abd its going strong.

Those air cartridge nail guns are good in the beginning but they all have the same problem they run out of air and if you use them a lot you'll be lucky to get 6 months out of them that's why the flywheel design is better if you don't drop or do something stupid with them you'll 3 to 5 years out of them before they need repairs

These, the Hitachi/Hikoki/Metabo HPT and the AEG are all designed to be refilled by the user with an air compressor. The Hitachi’s have been around a LONG time, and user refillable all the while…
@merkn24721 күн бұрын
Its not repairs its just is a refill and its a matter of time before they make a tool available for the nitrogen gun like milwaukees

It’s a nice rollout. Checked them out about a month ago. I still can’t stand the prickly overmold on the handles. Otherwise, I’d have a whole set of the North American Flex range.

I've heard this before...sounds like people with sensitive hands shouldn't choose FLEX😂 I don't have any issues with the grips... no issues for a working mans hands🤣

@@robertrada4783i will agree some of them are a little more agressive. Hopefully Flex can tame them down or make them softer. I just invested in several flex tools and they are great. Hopefully they continue to grow
@robertrada478322 күн бұрын
@@INFRNL1 There’s now about 85% parity with the original red 18v lineup sold outside of the US. I don’t think they’re going anywhere other than higher and wider. I moved over to Hilti for my main cordless kit and a good portion of it is simply rebranded Flex with a slightly modified housing (and of course an increased price tag). Hell, even Festool is rebranding a couple of Flex tools now. Chervon is really stepping up from Dewalt and Kobalt.

No one else will be able to compact them without compacting the canister making you have to send it in the be refilled more and more often. Fuckin sad. Watch what I say. It's gonna happen.
