Post Atlantic Crossing - The Dream Comes to Life - Ep 16

First stop in the Caribbean is Barbados where we spend a few days relaxing, playing in the 28 degrees turquoise water, and giving each other some much needed space after our 19-day passage. Then we get to work exploring. We finish this episode in Bequia - our first island in the stunning Grenadines.

I know that Dani has a little bit of experence sailing but How much sailing experience have you Got prior to this trip asher??.....Also i like that your showing u’s your track on navionics ,it puts u’s right there ... Asher grew up mucking around on boats, he learnt to dinghy sail from a young age and has sailed casually on family boats for his whole life. He started racing as crew after university, he did the NZ to Fiji, NZ to Noumea and Fastnet offshore races. Bacchus is the first 'big' boat he's owned and skippered :)

Is that a volvo 2030? looks like one . If so its not a volvo ,it's a perkins M30 they built many volvos for them ,mine runs at 175 degrees ,check your exhaust mixer and your heat exchanger . Parts4engines .com for cheap Volvo and perkins parts. Perkins parts are much cheaper than Volvo.

Did you add an extra forestay for the second sail we saw in the video? From another Kiwi and 361 owner.

Hi Richard, yes, we rigged a removable inner forestay out of Dyneema for flying the second headsail. It works really well.
