I've been chasing everything trying to fix myself since I had food poisoning, now since I know exactly what I'm dealing with I know exactly what I can do to fix it. Thank you so much for the information on how my MMC has been damaged, I have motility activator but I only took it for one day bc it made me constipated which I now know is probably just my large intestine being slowed down from a slow small intestine. I'm going to start on it and commit, but just the one day I took it I could feel a large difference in gut contractions.

Hi, J Green! It's hard to say without being familiar with your case. If you need specific medical recommendations, please do visit my website and perhaps we can work together. I will continue to upload videos about PI-IBS as time goes on, too

Thanks for the great info, Dr. DiNezza. Do you believe the overgrowth of SIBO needs to be eradicated before Lion's Mane or Priority One's product, SIBO Rebuild, to effectively regenerate the gut nerves? I've had chronic PI-IBS for 10-plus years and have improved recently but not sure if it's completely gone. Also, for anyone who may get a subsequent bout of food poisoning, what do you advise for stomach cramps?
@gutmicrobiomequeen5 жыл бұрын
Usually you can start Lion's Mane while you're still treating SIBO (during the kill phase) :) For stomach cramps, I love, love, love ginger!

Very interesting, I just happened to be doing some research into this as my GI and regular Dr are clueless. One thing I didn't notice you speak about is how to handle autoimmune diseases. Is there any treatment for that that has been found to work here? I know it's new, but I'm guessing you've dealt with autoimmunity in general. Do "autoimmune diets" work? Would it help to take IGG supplements? I've seen folks talk about Vitamin D and autoimmunity. Have you already perhaps talked about autoimmunity elsewhere that I can learn more?
@gutmicrobiomequeen5 жыл бұрын
First of all, I'm sorry your "normal doctors" are clueless :( I see that all too often. Sigh. On a happier note, I'm glad you found my channel! Yes, I work with autoimmune folk all the time. That's a great idea, actually- I'll plan to make an autoimmune management/treatment video and add it to this playlist! For now, here's what I'd say: - Nutrition is important, but I'm not generally a huge AIP person, though I used to recommend it more often and I followed AIP myself before it was named AIP. I tend to focus on 1. making sure you are nutrient replete (not deficient) (especially minerals and fat-soluble vitamins) and 2. avoiding some antigens (most frequently gluten, dairy, and corn), depending on the case. - Address infections: gut dysbiosis and SIBO being a biggie (do you see the catch-22?), but also don't forget viral infections. My talk for the IBS and SIBO Online Summit last year was actually about the hypothesized link between SIBO and IBS and viral infections. - Consider antioxidants like turmeric, resveratrol, and sulfurophane - Supporting the affected tissue as needed (ex. taking thyroid hormone replacement if you have progressed Hashi's, supporting MMC in this case) Hope that helps :)

I got h.pylori infection 2 years ago....I treated it with some antibiotics.... But since then I developed PI - IBS with chronic constipation with wrong stool formation and stickiness...Now I want to know how last it long it's go away or not ? Is it everlasting? Because it is really affect my life....
@gutmicrobiomequeen2 жыл бұрын
To my knowledge, H pylori isn't one of the pathogens known to cause PI-IBS (because I don't believe it makes cytolethal distending toxin). Also, you most likely picked up your H pylori in childhood (that is typically the case) and it just took a while to become problematic for you. I would probably look at the treatments for the H pylori as root causes for your IBS: - Antibiotics --> Dysbiosis - PPI + H pylori --> Low stomach acid I have some great episodes about H pylori, low stomach acid, dysbiosis, and IBS here on this channel and the IBS Freedom Podcast channel :) Best of luck!

Just subscribed. I had 2 different Gastroenterology MD's tell not to waste my money on IBS Smart. But both of them did not provide a cure or a cause for my IBS-D. My current gastro wants to give me Rifaximin but I am afraid it does more harm than good. Totally confused. Great channel.

Rifaximin is useless and does more harm than good in your wallet should u not have insurance. As far as doing harm to your system, no. It just sucks. Ur never going to get things eradicated with one round or two rounds and odds are ur gonna get it from ur gi person and that person just want "scope" money and isn't going to give a crap for much ongoing care. Most people are probably like me in that I was the one to ask my gi person for the test.
