There is something here ... Spock hates to be touched, avoids it, pulls away from it in almost every instance ... except when Jim touches him, as he does constantly. No one else is grabbing Spock all the time, leading him by the wrist, using him for support, just casually brushing against him. Could it be Spock does not want to be touched except by his ashayam, or dare I say it adun? Maybe Spock mumbles to Jim, quietly in the night, “I ashaya du”, when they are alone and none other can see them. *sigh* Seeing these clips takes me back to that sheltered 15-year-old watching Star Trek when it first broadcast. So according to the creator of star trek when asked if they were that way, he states that the two were not written as being romantically involved however the affection expressed at times in the series could be sufficient for that if that were the case. Basically they aren't a couple but they could be and it wouldn't be much of a stretch at all, so like not a yes but not a no either it's up to interpretation to some extent.

Yup, you’re crazy. Can’t men just be men who are inseparable best buds without any shipping of such iconic characters? One is 93 and the other is long past. They went several years without speaking in real life. Kirk was such a ladies man that he slept with any alien woman that would have him…green or otherwise. He’d have shagged the Klingon sisters Lursa and B'etor if he was born in the mid 2300’s.

Haven’t seen this episode in a while, but it seems V’Ger’s original creator was named Kirk and V’Ger thinks Captain Kirk is this person... the creator. Don’t think V’Ger ever calls Kirk it’s mother, but has come looking for the one that gave it life, it’s creator, which would be consistent with a living being’s mother. Seems Kirk says something like, “It thinks I’m its mother.” Male and female is likely not a concept to V’Ger.

I can't remember the name of the episode I think it is called 'All our Yesterday's' but the one when Kirk, Spock and McCoy are in a library. Spock and McCoy get stuck in an ice age with some broad, anyway when they come back through to Kirk he puts his hands on their backs but on Spock's he squeezes his shoulder then slowly runs his hand down his back, take a look just beautiful.
