The final stage of menopause is when your body learns to adjust to lower levels of hormones, and that brings some other things to be aware of. But it’s not all bad!
This week, my friend and A.Vogel’s Nutritional Practitioner Ali and I, have a chat about the good, the bad, and the sometimes problematic aspects of post-menopause, including our own experiences.

I love this video ladies thank you. I'm not post menopause but I am skipping my periods now and I feel so much better. I quit smoking weed 22 days ago I feel that I can handle things much better when I don't get a period. I feel quite amazing as soon as my period stops. My boobs are not sore at all. My perimenopause was truly horrific a few years back, but huge difference in the last year. Last summer I had no period for 4 months. Best summer...loved everyday. They came back from October to Feb. And now they are gone again whoop whoop. I want to give women hope because 3 years ago....even 2, i was suicidal and raging with anger. I am so calm now and o never thought that was possible. I felt my quality of life was over. I was wrong.

I agree post menopause is the problem from one thing to another! It feels as if your getting weaker and weaker by the day! Everything you took for granted with your body in the former years you now have to consciously tend too!

The skin on my hands & feet can feel “paper” dry some days, so l use perfume free Sorbolene moisturiser and it restores moisture on my skin. I’ve bought coconut infused goat soap to wash my hands, face & body and have found using less chemicals on the skin really helps.

Wow, such wonderful information gals! I find that you are right, there are good and bad in post-menopause. I am 4 years post and just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, although I must admit, I feel like a different person most days. I like some things about this new individual and get frustrated with some. lol I can remember when I had periods thinking that I couldn't wait until they ended. Now I find myself saying that I would take them back at any time just to feel normal again. I realize that this will be my new normal and am hoping I will come to terms with it at some point but it can be very frustrating at times. Thanks so much for all you do getting this info out to us gals and giving us a community where we don't feel alone with our struggles. :) :)

Now I'm going through the phase where I'm thinking it really is over. I have never had a child so I suppose I am grieving that as I think the periods are over now for good. Still not sure as we were minding my boyfriend's daughter's baby and the period started again I'll be 50 this year even though I look only 40. I went to a very good counsellor as I actually was getting a bit depressed I think and though I am ok I think I'm in another phase now

Sadly i had to have a full hysterectomy and oopherectomy. I cannot take HRT so am trying to do all the natural things. Thank you for your highly informative videos, just drinking more water, taking sage tablets and the vogel menopause tablets is helping me but am so down because of the lack of hormones in my body and it is debilitating. Some days I don' know whether I'm coming or going. Any advice for someone going through clinical menopause please. You seem to be the best knowledge out there that I've been able to find. Please Ms Vogel, if you haven't already, warn your followers that when they have their menopause they must have their IUD removed. I have been very ill. My illness was entirely preventable. I spent 11 days in hospital, in great pain, scared that I had cancer and was going to die. I have had to cancel a holiday, lose income as I couldn't work, and I'm sure it has cost the NHS £££££££££££. I had my menopause but I didn't have my coil out. No one told me I had to. Actinomycosis, a bacteria, had got from my coil through a fistula into the muscle of what would be my 6-pack, if I were that muscular. It caused a large very painful abscess which had to be cut open to be drained. Now for 6 months I have to take antibiotics 4 times a day, get the wound dressed every 2 days, and I can't swim or take baths. Such a fuss! So to save other ladies from this PLEASE give out a warning on your show. Thank you.

How do you know if you’re post menopause if you’ve had a partial hysterectomy before you’ve even started going through everything?
@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk Жыл бұрын
Hi Kim Unfortunatley, it is much more difficult to tell when you don't have missing periods as a guide. If you are in the average age range 45-55 and have started to experience menopause symptoms, then that is usually an indication that hormone levels are changing, although some women don't get any symptoms so that can be confusing! Your doctor may be able to offer a hormone test which may give you a better idea of what's happening. Best Wishes Eileen

@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk 10 ай бұрын
Constant headaches need to be checked by your doctor first, just in case there is another underlying cause. If all is well, you may find a magnesium supplement, approx 150mg twice a day, and at least 1.5 litres of plain water can help. Avoid caffeine drinks and high salt and sugar foods as they can make headaches worse. Best Wishes Eileen
