These are seriously great interviews, with highly intelligent, personable and iconic film directors! Landis seems so affable. The stories he can tell with his amazing resume from over the years. Thank you so much Mick!

Can't believe the number of sycophantic morons who kiss this guy's ass and hail him a film genius...guys, let me tell you something. True filmmakers should not only be renowned for their artistry...but also for their integrity (usually both go hand in hand but I digress)...what I really mean is how they conduct themselves behind the scenes is what truly cements their status...and that includes LOOKING AFTER the cast and crew, making sure that they can do their work in a safe and secure environment...and being HONEST and TRANSPARENT with the people you work with...not using deceit and shady ethics to get what you want...by now most of you know what I'm referring to...I won't mention it...but John Landis has a checkered history when it comes to those things...and it should follow him everywhere he goes...

America take note: tv legend Vic Morrow and two children died for NO reason on the set of Twilight Zone the Movie because of this shallow, reckless individual. He is NOT a good director and has been shunned by Hollywood.Good ridence!!!

Has he ever issued a public apology??? I have NEVER seen one!!!
@Roger81764 жыл бұрын
@User2758 Hello. I agree with everything you said except that Landis did write the script for that Twilight Zone scene. I feel for Landis. He was trying to create the best he could for what we, the movie-going public, demand him to. If a movie isn't exciting, it's not going to do well and he was in competition with guys like Spielberg, Lucas, etc so it HAD to be spectacular. Yes, mistakes were made, but it could have happened to any of those directors.

We already know about the accident. Thank you for reminding us. But its not accurate to say he was shunned by Hollywood. In fact, he has made several notable comedies, including Three Amigos, Spies Like Us and his most popular, Coming to America. Disagree with your assessment about him not being a good director because many people have sene and enjoy several of his films.
