What really helps aswell is the door seals, floor drains and heater vent intake, those are all holes that let lots of sound in.

Agreed. I bought new door seals and it made a world of difference. Just be prepared to need to adjust the doors, mine required a bit of tweaking. I rhino-lined my whole cab, inside and out. I am preparing to add insulation/sounding material under the cab (like M2 did in his previous video).

@skyhawk13205 I sealed one of my doors that was missing a seal. You bring up a good point about the floor drains. I am going to have to search amazon or Miwest military to see if I can snag a few

@Subby808 Do you think rhino lining helped with the sound at all or were you going for the look? I picked up some Raptorliner for the subframe and to paint anything below the cab. Depending on your recommendation, I might use some for the interior.

@@M2-Expeditions I've been spraying all my off road vehicles with bed liner, for the sound improvement and look. I can spend you some pictures, they may help you decide.

What I’ve always read is that most of the noise isn’t sound coming through panels, but 5he panels themselves. Vibration from outside sounds. Along with that is “expert” opinion that an entire panel need not be covered with the sound deadening material, just a portion, enough to stop 5he panel from reverberating. Seem to recall it being a ratio of 5he panel size, but don’t hold me to it. The upside to this is the cost savings of not using material not actually needed.

Thats interesting, this is a first heard for me. I'll have to look into it. I actually bought a little extra sound proofing, so I don't mind putting a little extra in places. I haven't posted the video of me upholstering the door panels but I think I put enough where the reverberating won't happen. Once I get them installed, we will see if it worked. Thanks for the comment!

The interior sounds better but the shaking seems to have gotten worse.
