Thank you so much for this video! My weird shaped dog just had a lump removed from her shoulder. I haven't been able to find a dog t-shirt that fit her right and covered the stitches!

Thank you Susan and I'm sorry to hear about your pup, she was a great model! I also have a basset hound/Aussie mix! He will be having surgery on his torso and I don't think the cone will work since his "stubby back legs" could reach this area! Will test this out on him before surgery. ❤‍🩹 from Eddie (dog)! @@SusanHolt Eddie is very happy with his Old Navy women's size medium tank top no cone!! I have two that I swap out and so far so good (one week after surgery). Other dog owners I see on walks thinks it is a brilliant idea! "tanks" again for the info!

sorry just can't visualize how to put this on the dog based on this demonstration. cuts into my dog's armpit area, would be great for my dogs injury if I could figure this out.

Just brought my 9 year old baby girl from surgery, having a golf ball sized lump removed from her groin area. Ali Was sent home with a cone around her head. I’ve taken it off her to cut it down, but I still would like to not put it on her again. I like this idea, i’ll be going to nearby thrift stores to get an infant shirt since Ali weighs under 12 lbs. 😊

Just found this while looking for ideas for an after-surgery cover. My dog's stitches are on his back and they're quite extensive (a fast-growing cancerous tumor the size of a baseball was removed). He's already pulled part of his stitches out once, even with a collar on (a soft collar...I think the cone of shame would be better). I've tried making doggy diapers for him, which help . Maybe I'll try an old t-shirt like you did with the tank top, only turn it with the neck opening down on his rump, and figure out how to keep it on his upper body. I dunno. How is your dog doing now? I hope she recovered well.

I hope this helps! I know some of my vet tech friends will put loose cotton t-shirt material shorts on their larger gods who are recovering from neuters so they cant get to their stitches. Maybe that'll partially work for your guy. Our girl who needed the surgery passed about a year and half ago. We still miss her.

Wow great video, that is a tough spot for a suture line, but have you guys hear of the Lick Sleeve???.... is an essential item to have after a knee procedure check it out

She healed quickly, and since we had just spent a lot of $ on a vet bill, this was the best option for us at the time. Thanks for the feedback.

I've NEVER heard of a Lick Sleve! 🤔 My dog just had major surgery 8-14-23 on his right side of a HUGE 5 1/2 inch mass directly behind his shoulder 😔 and then a tiny cyst removed from his right knee both of which weren't cancerous which the vet thought hooray Thank God 🙌🙏❤. I have caught him licking his knee 😳😱😔😢 so where can I get the Lick Sleeve? Amazon maybe? Thanks for your help! I bought a man's medium tshirt like the vet recommended so I hope to be able to make this easily for the large incision on his right side 😔😭 poor baby he's 13yrs July 4th,23 and 2 days out he's already walking better than I thought he would LOOOOVE my pit/lab boy he's my heart and my kitty is obsessed with her big brother 💞🐕🐱 Appreciate this post and also about the Lick Sleeve.
