Design is a practice of shaping how a thing exists in the world; how it fits into our spaces, lives, and experiences. For decades the leading practice of Design, specifically from a commercial and technological perspective, has been “Human-Centered Design”, which seeks to centre the human in the product or experience design process. Humanism has shaped the tools employed to harvest attention and led to techno-optimism, Effective Accelerationism, climate-change denialism and other ways of exploiting ecosystems. Posthumanism challenges the anthropocentric perspective, flattening the map of understanding so that humans, all humans, are seen as being in-relation to all other things. By proposing a flattened landscape where no single thing can be of more significance in an interaction, we create a design space where everything is accountable and accounted for, relational, consensual and considerate to another thing.
Malcolm Ché, aka the.malchemist, studies and writes about the intersection of technology and humanity. He is a father and technologist, and jokes that he is "at the cutting edge of his echo-chamber”. As a Master’s student, he studies the relationship between advances in science and technology, and the impact it has on the questions we ask ourselves about what it means to be human. He collects insights from his metacast interviews with technologists, futurists, and fellow humans, where he questions polarising views in a search of meaning.
With a career in television and emerging technology spanning two decades, his research takes a philosophical look at design, mapping out a methodology for Posthuman-centered Design practice. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

A network viewpoint. A viewpoint of the inseparable, wholeness. Mindfulness, listening, openness in order to see the whole picture as clear as we can. Followed by right action/interaction within the moment.

Attacking the various ideas of being human does not change the nature of what we are... Children don't fall for this plot to get you to give up your individuality and lose your ability to be Self Reliant.
