I’ll never understand how Haley isn’t a megastar. Like Chris Stapleton has changed country, I’d love to see Haley do the same thing for pop music. Hell, I’d love to hear her front a rock band.
@rolandgunslinger374 жыл бұрын
It's sadly way too simple. There's popular music which sells well and GREAT music which tends to be very niche. It's the same for much of our culture. I would say the best example is food. Chain stores are popular but basically serve edible food most people will like but then you have smaller restaurants that make fantastic meals which require particular tastes.
@joeburrow73234 жыл бұрын
To become a megastar, one has to sign a deal with a big major record label. So far, Haley has always refused. In any event, I think she will eventually sign a deal and hopefully sooner rather than later.
@TheJhtlag4 жыл бұрын
But she's not on that pop bleeding edge and also, she'd need some original tunes. "Seven Army Nation" for a while was being heard at every college football game. I don't want to be or sound sanctimonious but that bleeding edge is a battleground for listeners trying to "keep up" as it is for artists trying to find the next new angle. We are lucky in my opinion that we aren't tied into that game and can check out other stuff but by only wandering from the crowd. As suggested below, maybe she'll sign with a major label and they'll find her some original songs, but, as Elisabeth suggests ... she's enjoying herself. Again, not to preach but fame and fortune (seriously, money's kinda nice to have) or having this kind of fun?
@rolandgunslinger374 жыл бұрын
@@TheJhtlag Pop is bleeding edge? Huh...... Most modern Pop music is literally written by 3 Songwriters. Hardly Bleeding edge more pure Commercial.
@theblackdog23994 жыл бұрын
@@TheJhtlag Uhm...you are obviously next to oblivious with respect to Haley Reinhart and her music career. As Haley can sing pop better than the best pop artists, but that's not the genre of music she wants to sing and become known for. She's sings mostly rock and a lot of retro-music. Not to mention that she is probably the best female jazz artist in the world. Furthermore, she already has a ton of original tunes that apparently you are unaware of. As her music isn't mass distributed because Haley has chosen to remain an independent artist for the time being. Anyway, here you go. Here's a few samples of her original music from her Lo-Fi Soul Album. Be sure to tell us what you think: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGiQn5mVq9aqm5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaeWgaathLh1Z5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaLcamt3idmjiLc kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKfTppprfsiBfLc kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnuYd3uEeJynf5Y kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZ7RqoCuosRpfas kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6C1YqqqmZ6SpNU kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGa1eXppgLBsj7s Meanwhile, the reason why Haley isn't a signed music artists today is by her own choosing. As the big major record labels have been trying to sign he up for years now. However, I'm sure she will sign a record deal when the timing is right. As she said the other day in an interview that she has aspirations of winning a Grammy and that would necessitate her signing a record deal. As far as fame and fortune goes, Haley isn't in it for the fame and fortune. Instead, she is in this business to have a very fulfilling and successful lifetime career. Meanwhile, the fame and fortune are nice side effects of being successful, but Haley is in no rush. As she already makes a pretty good living as in independent music artist, voice actress, and new movie star. As she is currently starring in the number one most viewed movie in the world today.

@@TheCharismaticVoice - Miss Elizabeth, you've now reacted to both Morgan James and Haley Reinhart, two of the most incredible singers that you never hear on the radio! Which is sad, sadly. I'd like to point out something that I've noticed that really contrasts the two vocalists: Morgan, with her Julliard training, has impeccable diction over and above her powerful soul voice. Haley, OTOH, has a tendency to drop consonants and slur over words, sometimes making it difficult to understand what she's saying - much more of a jazz-type of singing. Don't misunderstand, I'm not trash-talking Haley, just pointing out the two very different pronunciation styles between the two women. I love them both, have seen both in concert, will gladly go see them again. You should too, if/when the opportunity arises! Thanks for your great reaction videos, and your honest appreciation for talented artists!

I mean, your not the only one getting the shudders from listening to her, and the SWAY she teases us with as she sings doesn't hurt either. Chills, I have chills. If anything was ever described as musical foreplay this would be it.

Haley is absolutely fantastic! But watching you watch her is like watching a kid on Christmas with giggles and sparks in your eye! Fantastic, thank you for sharing!

I love you nerding out on Haley, but more so, I love that you aren't just another youtube leech trying to get views gasping at a song. You are explaining what is going on, why it's amazing, how the singer is doing it, and basically defining WHY Haley is so damned fun to listen to. I like Haley when she sings songs I don't even care for, just because of HOW she sings. Now I have an arsenal of terms and techniques I can identify thanks to you.

Man, Haley kills it, again, and in a good way. And Elizabeth's excitement only adds to the appreciation by delving deeply into all that I never really understood but very much appreciate. I'm curious as to why I really love this site so much, but I won't become obsessive about that.

Theres a lot of voice reaction videos but yours are by far the best. Love your genuine reactions and how much you get into some of these songs.

I love Haley's style and voice and it amazes me that people don't listen to this so much more often. It's a great sound with great talent. Now, HOW does TCV's husband get anything done? Listening to her talk would be my entire day, with her smile and her eyes and her facial expressions. Such a naturally gorgeous woman.

I have watched/listened to this several times now, apart from the fact she almost leaves me speechless with her sheer talent and skill, her voice literally grabs a person's soul, shakes it like a rag doll, and completely takes control of one's senses. she has it all, control, class, a sensual siren-like quality, it is truly an eargasm, I couldn't put it better than you, she is a living, breathing Jessica Rabbit!

Haley's singing is so good, her voice just seems overpowered... she's the Supersinger! There is no song she cannot have her way with.

Another great video, Haley is an absolute gift. I really adore that she kept the sass of the original version and just amplified it so well. It's such as sassy song, it lends itself so well to her style and she just kills it. And as always, PMJ are world-class in the instrumentation.

Whenever I'm having a bad day, I watch Liz crushing over Haley's voice. Can't tell you how many times I watched her "Creep" reaction. Now I have this to switch it up with. If we can get her with the PMJ Black Hole Sun cover, or the "Dear Prudence" duet with Morgan James, I'll be a happy man.

this will be a good one. I love everything about this performance...even the instrumentation.

yeahh finally and well the guy in piano is so underrated as he does all their arrangements my favorite part of this song is after the whole trombone solo near the end of the song the few notes they play right before she throws her hands down, they make the whole jazzy vibe

@@galadballcrusher8182 the horn solos did it for me.. I was smiling like a nerd all the way through this song though.

What a 2 months of discovery I've had! First, I trip over PMJ's music for the first time (being played while the the audience assembled for a play), then finding such wonderful singers like Haley and Puddles Pity Party. Can't stop listening to 'Royals'. Then the icing on the cake. I find your delightful self on You-Tube. Your passion and entusiasm combined with such great technical knowledge of music, I feel compelled to watch but dont know whether to look at you or the performer! You've made a 64 year old guy very happy, in the nicest possible way.

What an absolute treat to have my current favorite band analyzed by a professional musician. I came upon Postmodern Jukebox quite by chance about 6-weeks ago on KZbin and have been devouring their songs ever since. I love Tennesse Whiskey, Crazy, Say My Name, The Middle, Zombie, Hey Ya, Bad Romance, Last Nite, Fancy, What Is Love, We Can't Stop and the one that started my love affair with the band "All About That Bass". Your enthusiasm for the music is incredible and I look forward to watching a lot more of your videos.

You are so analytical and use appropriate & precise descriptors. So educational. Others just say "great", "cool", "fabulous", "amazing", etc. etc. Thank you Elizabeth. Love from Perth, Australia.

So much fun to watch someone who really knows how to break down Haley's vocals react to her singing. Thanks again. Anyway, I know about a million people will tell you to react to "Oops, I Did It Again. So I won't say it, but nonetheless, it's also very fabulous as well. In fact, I've seen several Voice performances from around the world on KZbin where several singing contestants tried to emulate Haley singing that particular song for their performances. Which couldn't be a bigger compliment to Haley's singing ability and creativity. Anyway, Haley recently did a two song set with her dad playing guitar at Chess Records in Chicago as part of the virtual music festival '(De)Tour' - a fundraising event benefiting NIVA (National Independent Venue Association. The entire video is 11:52 in length, so it may be a little long to react to. Nonetheless, she sang a very gorgeous cover of "Can't Find My Way Home" and her own original "Don't Know How to Love You" and her vocals along with her dad's guitar playing are stupendous. If you ever need material to react to, that would be a good one to react to. Not to mention that you would also be the first to do so should you choose to do it. Anyway, please find the link below. If you can't react to it because it is too long, then you should at least enjoy it because it is a really fabulous performance that really highlights her amazing talent, and her dad is also pretty amazing in his own right. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ7XpHt7qJeaZtk

I was just thinking today when Haley popped up on my Pandora, hey I wonder if Charismatic Voice has done any reviews of Haley? Boom, here it is! Love her voice and attitude!
