The Star Wars one about Luke and how folks on Tatooine react, I read a fic not long ago where Luke comes to Tatooine to help Din and he knows Peli Motto (he did work for her as a teen), he knows Cobb Vanth (who hung out with Biggs who was also friends with Luke), and then Luke has to deal with Boba as well.

absolutely, hes a badass who defends the city, kicks the crap outta supervillais and can catch buses and such stuff all whilst wisecracking constantly how would people NOT think hes really cool? Funnily enough thats actually one of the things that protects peter parkers secret identity as he is very much NOT considered cool which gives him an extra natural layer of separation between him and spidey.

The post about Luke's hand reminds me of another Tumblr post. Basically OP was like "Wait, does Zuko actually know that Toph is blind?" which lead to the idea that Zuko isn't quite sure whether or not Toph is blind since her seismic sense leads to him getting mixed messages, so he tries to find out without directly asking her since: A) He's an awkward turtleduck B) He's still on thin ice with the Gaang and asking something like that will probably not help him get seen better by them. Meanwhile, Toph is perfectly aware of what Zuko is doing so she conspires with the Gaang to make sure Zuko never finds out for certain whether she can or cannot see. So they contrive scenarios where Toph can appear perfectly able to see only to make herself look comically blind the next second(for example, Zuko gives Toph a note to read. She manages to "read" it because the Gaang found it earlier and Sokka and Katara told her what was written. Then immediately after "reading" the note she gets up and walks into a tree). I may or may not be mistaken but I also think the idea that when Iroh finds out about what the Gaang are doing he also joins in was suggested.

The Enterprise could destroy the Death Star. It might take a few minutes and half their torpedoes, but Star Wars weapons are basically holographic laser beams. A few minutes of sustained phaser fire and a few dozen quantum torpedoes, and your glorified gamma-ray laser that takes minutes to power up before firing and takes even longer to aim will be space debris very shortly.

I know nothing about Star Trek, but I'm sticking with the Millennium Falcon because of the Empire Strikes Back scene where they hide from several destroyers by sticking to the back of one, the pursuit through an asteroid field and the fact that it survived the Battle of Endor. I think the Falcon could win by relying entirely on being a pain on the neck and doing various boom-and-zoom strikes.

Is it objectively bad? Is it simply cringe? Is it a relic of a better time long lost that pains people to remember? Do I ask what it is? All I know is what little I've seen in posts like this. Do I google it (let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that I have uncapitalized google in my autocorrect engine, but google it did try to capitalize google again?) and forever have a scar in my search history?
