Every time my three year old wants to help me in the kitchen it is like the most fulfilling, wonderful feeling a lifetime cook can feel. The amount of pride I felt when he said, “I want cook!” was unlike anything else I’ve ever felt. Granted I never want him to spend a single day behind the line, but it’s a selfish, joyful fantasy to imagine your child would love what you love as much or more than you do. Good recipe chef.
