I am amazed at how well the Bridge is designed. Seeing it used in a variety of Potemkin1711 produced Trek Fan Films, the Bridge set is amazingly durable! The ability to switch out graphics on the viewscreens is a really nice touch to personalize the set to the ship depicted. Additionally, the idea of a small and intimate Bridge for the variety of ships shown, indicates a trend to efficiency and consolidation of the various Bridge stations and their function. It is reminiscent of pictures of submarine Bridges, where space is at an absolute premium.

I love it. The part that made me giggle was "We will avoid outnumbering your people... " (beams 2 people aboard, outnumbering them 2 to 1 in the transporter room)
@Potemkin17112 жыл бұрын
A winner! First person to notice that! The original script called for four diplomats to be beamed aboard, but only two could make it the day of the shoot. The key phrase was "I don't think anyone will notice." It happens again in the arboretum. :)

Oh so much fun episode! I loved the plot. A simple routine mission right? Not! I love eagle eye Hawkins' laser sight taking everything in and too hard headed to fall for mental manipulation no matter how subtle, or not. I'm really starting to appreciate him! Kudos to the cast all around! I must comment on Captain Prescott, he has such a laid back attitude. So comfortable in the center seat, as if he's just basking at the beach on a sunny day. LOL I do enjoy the various personalities on the Webster. Stay safe and well everyone. Heavenly Father's blessings!

A nice way for a mystery to unfold when we weren't certain there was a mystery TO unfold. The audience could pick it up along with the crew.

Using Telepathy to minipulate other species, the nerve of some people across the alpha quadrant this was a very good episode and the lesson here is don't lie on applications it will bite you in the rear when you least expect it a good lesson for all.

Definitely on the list of episodes that I want to introduce these productions to friends with, this is among the best. Tommy Gatton as Captain is competent and collected. Very likeable. (Ok, I noticed at 6:06 as he hands out assignments to the bridge crew that he and Science Officer T'Varik look at each other for a moment and then turn away awkwardly- do they not get along?? :O) Laura Johnson as Science Officer T'Varik is especially wonderful in her droll line delivery- OMG just the right amount of Vulcan- she's great! Hope there's more of this character in other shows. Mary Leveridge as Tactical Officer Kivah is someone I think many people can naturally relate to. She's got a wonderful energy. This is Billy Swanson/XO Hawkins' best episode so far. How many Star Treks would be better if they'd had a XO with a little more paranoia/suspicion about alien races motives (I've seen a few where he seems agitated/on edge and wonder if it's a part of larger story arc I haven't caught on to yet?). ( Lots of great performances- it's actually unfair I don't have the time to go long-form with this) The production itself was really well done- writing, set, sound, camera, special effects. I have watched this like...3-4 times now? Good job Potemkin1711 team!!

Great film! Any old story can sound true until it's cross-examined by the other side when they share their half. I would like to figure out more of how their mental manipulation worked. I'm assuming from this they used direct eye contact to gain control over people? Hence the blindfolds. If you have more info on the science of it I'm really interested in those things. Did they need to maintain a close proximity or eye contact to keep control over some crewmen? And how did the security chief resist? (Also on a side note I feel like Picard in chain of command I could swear there was a video with a return of a certain starship captain on a few months back that I can't find anymore. "There are 4 lights!” lol)

Its Weird why dont they Use the same Uniform, The Movie uniform worn in Star Trek 2 The Wrath Of Khan suppose to be used on everyone there and the bridge suppose to be like the Constitution Refit or Excelsior Bridges

Actually, if you take a look at various sources on the internet, including Star Trek: The Magazine, Star Trek Fact Files, The Art of Star Trek, Ex Astra Scientia as well as Orion Press, you'll see that the cast of our various productions wear the class B uniforms, while the captain and sometimes their executive officer wear the class A uniforms. www.orionpressfanzines.com/uniforms/starfleet_uniforms_circa_2283.htm

I was wondering if this was based off of the collage admission scandals that happened a while back as there are some similarities to those in this fanfilm
@Atlas_System013 жыл бұрын
Ok I had some issues with this and I do wish that the highly seductive alien female cliche had been avoided but aside from that and a few minor inconsistencies this was one of the most professionally done Webster episodes to date and I do like the character development and you all did a better job than ENT Era Brannon Braga when it came to the writing as if he did this it would have been a disaster with sexual comments every other minute. Honestly if I didn’t know this was a fanfilm I would probably think that this was a professionally done Trek episode! Great Job! And most importantly. Never lie on applications… EVER
@Atlas_System013 жыл бұрын
Also about that braga comment I mean what I said due to the fact that he was responsible for some of the most cringe inducing moments in ENT and he almost ruined an episode for me due to one of those comments. Thank goodness the rest of the episode was good! Finally I really am looking forward to whatever you all and the rest of the fan film creators have in store for us this year!
@generalgrievous6963 жыл бұрын
@@Atlas_System01 I appreciate your point of view and liked some of your points but now seeing how writers did this episode I have to disagree with your early conclusion. I didn't once see a seductive female trope. They used telepathy to force themselves on the crews mind. it was a feature used by both genders in their race. mental manipulation and seduction are different things. (see the orion's pheromones for seduction) the long and short of it is they as a species used this ability unethically not that it matters much who it is who manipulates mind's male or female. It's Still wrong.
