Excellent story! Nice touch with seeing the Potemkin leaving and going to warp overhead, though that must have been a very low orbit! Still a nice moment, though.

Potemkin1711 A few more observations. I may become a pain in your side, lol. If that man was such a good friend to him then why did the captain not greet him n the transported room? The beaming sequence used was not from the era in which this ship is suppose to be in. One last note, is common clothing the standard for the ship or does Star Fleet regulations set aside for the crew? Such as, red shirt, security; blue, sciences; gold, command. Perhaps it is the writers that might be leading this away from the normal of Star Fleet.

Bear DarkDawnActual Actually, this episode is set in 2297, some 4 years after the events of Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country. The transporter effects are absolutely perfect for that time frame. The uniform colors are from the ST:TUC timeframe as well, and are the class B uniforms: www.orionpressfanzines.com/uniforms/starfleet_uniforms_circa_2283.htm The writing is superlative, and this episode is truly a wonderful look at a Federation sociologist that has gone native, much in the same vein as LORD JIM. I'm sorry our series isn't too your liking.

Andy, no, not from Skid Row. For alien names, etc., sometimes I just type a few letters and see where it takes me. I agree with Randy. This ep really was just a "cute" idea of mine to bring a cover painting to life. No further plans for any of it.
