Mark my words if this bill passes it is going to single handedly ruin Florida like it did Colorado. Tens of thousands moved to Colorado each month immediately after they passed this law and they changed the culture and brought their east coast problems with them. There is more to that amendment than just legalization. It means the government will take over including growing personal at home. The weed that is sold in dispensaries now is already low thc so it's weaker mariuana. Please read the fine print in that amendment. It is like the infamous "don't say gay bill". Just because it says legalize mariuana doesn't mean that. It is about the government controlling all the weed grown in the state.

I think marijuana laws need to be eased up and match those of other states. However, Florida has a VERY bad driving problem right now. More police are needed and more traffic safety measures. One thing that marijuana legalization has brought to other states with recreational laws is more high drivers (you can look this up). That said, Florida needs to do something to make our roads safer - this impacts ALL of us.

on my last visit to flordia it was everywhere red lights to a visit to walmart..i have one issue with it their should be one central location for it in public locations and each person has got to check in with a thumb print .and where they purchased it. that way it can be controlled more and any issues with jobs or mental issues would be voided if any tried to get disablity pay.. this is only my opinion.. what issues do you have whit it or ways to control? where that person lives and where the smoke goes and stays away from children .

Actually, if youcompare the studies of alcohol impairment while driving versus marijuana impairment, alcohol is actually much worse. Alcohol gives the illusion that you’re capable of doing something when you’re really not. Cannabis does not do this unless the dosage is very high. But I agree with you nobody should be driving around while they’re impaired, whether it be cannabis, alcohol, or any other substance. However, I’d rather have somebody drive around stoned than somebody driving around completely drunk. The evidence supports that. So maybe with legalization more people that consume alcohol regularly will stop drinking and get stoned instead.
