I've been a therapist for about 7 years (not counting internships) and still haven't figured out how to check the time without looking like I'm checking the time.😂 Also, the whole tissue or no tissue thing. 😂

Omg i neede this 😂..thanks for being you and we all get the gitters ..i actually suufered a lil anxiety today as i had to go to do errands ..and was a few minutes to walk aways and walk back in like calm as if never happened..i think im goingbto better # listening ..rather than having to ask the questions lolz but my patience is far and wides as my 80 yrs young mother has tought me ..we may hear the darnest stuffs ..and just telling someone its going to be okay and try having a connection wth a client i get woukd be much better than the first meetings ..omg #first impression can be so hards for both ends thats forsure 💯😅🙌👍🤞✌️

Yeah, as much as the procedures in psych training are useful, trying to just hold to them rather than just be there as whoever you are IMO can be...super awkward.

Depends! Psychology is taught in both arts and science departments however the focus is different- the area I'm trained in is the science side :)

An excellent performance. But you seem to have been thrown into the deep end. This should not be the case. This should have been part of your university training. When I went to see my cardiologist for follow up consultations, on occasions there were medical students present. There is no reason why prospective psychologists not receiving the same treatment.

We've all been there! I think one thing a supervisor said was be okay with being bad. We're supposed to be terrible when we first start a skill and it's the hours we're in training clinic that we can experiment and learn and I'm still learning so much everyday! You're not supposed to know everything. So I remember that made me feel reassured and ironically made me less stressed out and probably a better clinician haha. Also practically write your assessment questions out- really helps if you mind blank. You've got this!
