That’s what I typically do, my headset has Bluetooth so I just play lofi quietly so I can still hear everything, but I hear peaceful music during loading screens, such as mermaid or coming back from the ferry, it’s helpful, unless the crew is toxic then nothing helps but killing them

Just saying your tips really helped me the other day; I was solo slooping as athena emissary and had some precious loot on board. Then a pvp sloop came and attacked me, and remembering that thinking about what to do, and playing with their patience allowed me to "win". I didn't sank them, but they couldn't board me, they had trouble following me. They only were good at shooting with the cannon, and guarding laders. I made their life a little nightmare, doing tight turns, shooting at specific spots to annoy them the most, i was just hitting and running. And that worked, amazing.

Whenever I see Blurbs play I feel like I am watching a literal god play the game. He is just too good. But whenever I see Phuzzy, I can relate to him more, as he makes mistakes but also knows how to create opportunities and strike efficiently. Victory in this game only applies to the rules you set to yourself. If I manage to succesfully outrun a ship whilst carrying a lot of loot (in my opinion) without firing a single shot. They call it cowardice. I call it a test of endurance. They would eventually shout cursewords at me whilst they break off their chase after tailing me for an hour. I succesfully mannage to beat my enemy without fighting. And that gives me satisfaction. They can name call me what they want. But I won. ( in my POV)

I agree tbh. I like a good ship battle sometimes but if I have been stacking loot for hours and I see that I'm obviously outgunned i try and outrun them. If I can escape with my loot, whether that be to run with it, bury it and come back for it or rowboat it somewhere that's a win in my eyes. I like that even if your PVP skills aren't great in most games the deciding factor is communication and coordination. A team is greater than the sum of it's parts and personally skilled players who don't work well together more often lose in my experience.

2:50 what happened is actually something i do all the time, if i anticipate an anchor ball i drop the anchor, that way when i get hit my anchor goes up.

They need to put the spawn timer back to normal. You can still easily sloop vs. Gally; however, if you get stuck against LSD, TSD, or god forbid a NAL they can turtle and board at the same time and you simply get overwhelmed.

@@Huntermwatrous One thing gamers need to know now is that if you are solo and out of mid cannon range you can bucket twice, patch once, and board without fear of your ship sinking. You can board consistently and die and your ship will likely survive if the hole or two left is in between teir* 1-2. It’s berserk mode now.

Rare always intended to have 15s respawn time like they explained, boarding is by far the best strategy and this somewhat nerfs it a bit, nothing wrong IMO, especially because of 1vs4 actually being so viable, there`s also the flood of aimbots, now it looks like every week I find a crew with hackers also their nametag is something weird so it`s hard to memorize and report, plus they don`t show the Xbox game tag and are not linked to discord, very easy to spot besides never missing a sniper shot. Get better at ship combat, that`s all there is to it.

@@shippy1001 I’m definitely in the 95% bracket but the 5% bigger fish are fucking demons. I feel like I’ve encountered some hackers as of late. They’re always naked, shit talking, and always able to ding you a mile away with the EOR. That or their cannon shots at max range specially aim for the helmsman* edit: when I see this I start turning the ship away with a raise and drop and they still somehow manage to adjust their shots within 4 seconds. Waves and visibility should make this impossible. I can’t stress enough how these perfect shots always go for the helm of the ship. I have also started to see people going invisible and not being targetable. This game is wild haha. Also, I never knew that was their intention. I’ve only been in for about 7 months but I’m already at 1k. It’s good medicine.

I am fairly certain that the anchor ball from 2:55 worked. They always work. However the player on the sloop caught the capstain before it went fully down thus the ship didn't stop.

The speed at which the enemy shoots Phuzzy at 4:33 is super sus. The switching weapon animation takes longer than the time between those 2 shots. Also she sworded Phuzzy from the wheel while Phuzzy was at the tip of the ship.

Honestly this has been a thing since the original days of Halo multiplayer. People seem to jump spam and zig-zag spam, because they can't lead good shots or just want to avoid getting shot and taking the L. I miss the days when bunny hopping wasn't a thing and that you had to be more tactful in your positioning than simply spamming the jump key over and over and ppl trying to excuse the spam as "skilful".

@@magicpyroninja No, but it makes fighting larger crews even harder then it originally was, which is the point of why many people hate it. There have been people going on about it for years now, but this is the icing on the cake. Boarding has been such a vital part of fighting larger ships these days, that many crews are just use to it. With this change, bigger crews can easily stop boards from being as effective. Meaning smaller ships need to rely on naval... which from my experience is also less effective against larger ships. It's never been fun being helpless when your ship is sinking and your just waiting for the Ferry to let you back, but the game is a little bit more broken then usual this time.

I'm not sure where you are getting the first sentence from... but unless they changed something recently, that isn't true. That second part however is entirely true. It's generally easier to fire yourself at a target when your moving straight.

Not this late in the season. I've found one "PvP" player, and we didn't even get to fight him. The servers are now infested with nothing but PvE players that are low skilled - average players. Loot has not been great...
