If you don't fail you don't learn, I think its pretty cool that you uploaded it, you're young man down the road you will have a lot of knowledge to pass on. 👍🏼👍🏼 It didn't come out bad.

I feel your pain, but in the end it came out pretty nice, nice work man 👍

Thank you! I was definitely a bit lost but pleasantly surprised at the end outcome

It's also 400f on the part itself not when the oven gets to 400f. That's when you start the cure timer.

How’s the ole Honda 125r running 😂 the one your buddy bought off me
@ChaseBuiltBikes Жыл бұрын
He ended up selling it due to a bad wreck at the track, he did some other stuff to it including a lectron carb and vforce 3 reeds, and It was an absolute SCREAMER, probably one of the fastest 125s I’ve ever rode. He sold it to another guy that I believe is using it for drag racing 😂

@@ChaseBuiltBikes Love to hear she’s still screaming! Is he all good after wreck?

@@dirtybike1254It was yeah, I think the bars got a bit bent and maybe the pipe got a dent in it but she held up pretty well. He sent her good and decided that it wasn’t worth missing out on work if he was to wreck again, throttle stuck wide open on her and the rest was history 😂

Plan on doing this to mine, any tips on doing it right? Going to use the same oven set up
@ChaseBuiltBikes3 ай бұрын
@@m0nster324 With the oven, I would definitely recommend insulating the bottom of the oven as well, and besides 1 heat gun, I would use two. That should get the temp up hot enough. Other than that, make sure that all your paint is stripped from the frame, make sure to wipe the frame down after with acetone after the paint is removed so the powder has the strongest bond to the frame

Thanks for being real. This was very entertaining.

Thank you for that! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I've actually got another video coming up powder coating the frame on the next build, this video should be alot smoother! 😂

Just a thought.... What about using bricks over a fire pit? No flames just embers, or an electric grill with a solid base surrounded by bricks?
@ChaseBuiltBikes Жыл бұрын
An electric grill might work very well, and I like the brick idea. It could be a nice permanent solution for big parts, as long as the heat transfer is strong enough

I am honest with you I am most likely gonna copy the design with the box as i dont have the place for a big industrial oven but still want to powdercoat smth bigger then conventional kitchen oven but i think i will push it by using multiple 600 degrees C so about 1100 degrees F heatguns maybe 4 on each side 🤙🏻 and in the end i mean the result is nice and thats what its all about 🤝🏻🤝🏻 keep pushing I like your content 🤝🏻
@ChaseBuiltBikes Жыл бұрын
Thank you! More heat guns would absolutely help, and having the bottom insulated vs being on the concrete would drastically help. Let me know how it works for you and what you did because I would love to know how your improvements worked out!
