I am not a cottage cheese person but do add it to my eggs with salt and pepper. I pour the eggs over the sauteed vegetables and I prefer an omelet. @sherrioliver5083 in my opinion, one egg is enough for an average person. Two is more than enough for everyone. Five eggs for one person is gluttony. Most mammals (including people) overeat if given the chance. Feeling the need to eat 5 eggs is just animal inside a person overriding their thought and reason.

Thank you for your input. I think it depends on how much activity one does if you’re sitting on the couch all day not doing anything sure one is great but if you’re extremely active one egg won’t even tie you over for 10 minutes let alone until the next meal. It’s easy to think that everybody should do the exact thing that’s OK for you, but you don’t know how active everyone is being. Look at Michael Phelps for instance, if you have ever heard about his eating regiment, you could call it gluttonous I suppose but at the same time he burned so many calories a day he hast to refill himself somehow my point is everybody is different and their needs are different

it’s traditional to use half a cup of cottage or ricotta cheese for every 2 eggs Max., and to mix it together using a fork only, and not to overstir- just gently make paths for uncooked egg to touch the pan, and not to overcooked it so it remains delicate melt in your mouth and not rubbery. A light sprinkling of salt after it is cooked is all the seasoning it needs. But I like mine with tomato sauce on the side 😊

It boggles the brain, how doctors are NOT educated in nutrition, yet they will tell you “eggs daily, are bad for you!” Eggs get such a bad reputation! We eat eggs everyday. Either omelettes, egg sandwiches, scrambled eggs, egg salad etc. and we have been for several years! However, we raise our own chickens and our own beef so we are not getting all the crap that the FDA approves of in store-bought Staples! Cholesterol and blood pressure are utterly perfect! Women do SO WELL on high protein diets! After watching Crystals channel and stealing all her recipes, my protein intake has probably even gone up, but I feel great. I, also, look for ways to get more protein in my diet. Type II Diabetic, 2 heart attacks, left leg amputated. Getting more protein and fibre is a daily mantra. I love the idea of putting the eggs in the blender - instead of whisking with a fork. But - it's mostly SALT that Chefs say to add at the last. Salt tends to be absorbed by whatever it's cooked with - to the point where you don't actually tasted it, anymore. So - you "adjust the seasonings" - and add more salt until you CAN taste it. And this can happen several times during cooking - 'til you finally have TOXIC amounts of salt in your food. So it's always better to add salt at the END of cooking. Like - when the meal is on the plate and each diner can add it to their own taste - or medical requirements. Along with Type II Diabetes - I also have Hypertension and Congestive Heart Failure. So I don't use salt at all - until the food is on my plate. And then I add only what I can loosely "pinch" between thumb & forefinger. A PINCH. But I use mostly herbs and spices for my flavouring. In your recipe, above - you already have salt in the cottage cheese - so you don't really need to add any with the other spices prior to cooking. But once you've plated it - and checked the finished dish for flavour - that would be the time to add just a tetch of salt. I know my situation is anything but normal - so I really do have to watch my salt intake like a hawk. There are others who don't. Stll - it's a good idea to watch one's salt intake - because issues like Hypertension can result from too much salt - and then you HAVE to stop using it. Better to get into the habit of not adding it 'til the food is on your plate.

Thank you so much for your input that is greatly appreciated Have you ever heard of Celtic sea salt? It is probably one of the few salts that your body actually needs and is definitely not like table salt it has 82 essential minerals in it and studies have found that it actually helps your body from getting a lot of of those diseases. When people try to limit their salt intake, I always say make sure that you are limiting the bad salt (table salt) completely and only using salt that has tons of minerals in it because it will definitely help your body.

Yes, Tallow is great for your eggs My husband prefers butter or tallow, and I prefer olive oil

Why does this scrambled egg give out water when made with only egg white? Because of cottage cheese?
@CrystalsCleanKitchen5 күн бұрын
Probably. sometimes different brands of cottage cheese have more liquid in them
@masondixon26757 күн бұрын
I never saw you put the cottage cheese in.
@CrystalsCleanKitchen6 күн бұрын
I blended it first. So I put it in the blender and then added it
@henrimatisse748111 күн бұрын
the "cottage cheese" I see at the supermarket is processed with many added ingredients not related to dairy. So I eat plain yogurt now to start my day

No issues with cholesterol?

I encourage you to read the book the great cholesterol myth. Eggs are crazy good for you.
@twinfin857129 күн бұрын
@@CrystalsCleanKitchen. I agree. Cholesterol is a medical cash fund scram. Every single cell in our body needs/uses cholesterol. Especially our brains. Breast milk contains the highest amount of cholesterol naturally. Our bodies produce cholesterol. Read the book.
@kidavis338626 күн бұрын
Eating eggs doesn’t cause high cholesterol. That myth has been disproven. Your liver make the cholesterol in your body.

I thought you're not supposed to grease a non-stick pan. If you must though, use the butter. The oil is no good for you. Nice recipe though!
@CrystalsCleanKitchen7 сағат бұрын
Technically, you don’t need to, but mine are kind of cold so it sticks. Oil is OK to use as long as you don’t work too hot

Doing all of this is way longer than 2 minutes. Then you also have to wash the blender. 😫 It looks good, but only for days off.

You could just use a fork it still will taste good

Will try that combo, thank you! Throw that toxic nonstick skillet away, though! I use cast iron, and I use grassfed tallow.😃
