I'd love to have this! I have 2 power kits in parallel with the smart home panel 1. HOWEVER the Power insight is NOT compatible with the Power kits, Maybe software updates could remedy that, I was told by my Ecoflow dealer? The power kit does have a monitor and it looks nice, functions well but this one is on another level💖

The DP Ultra and the SHP2 are supposed to last for 10,15,20 years or more. How long will this thing even be supported? It needs to last and be supported way longer than your average iPad. The battery in the device itself might only last 6 or 7 years max. I won't even mention compatibility with future WiFi and WPA standards . Lets just say I'm skeptical.

Just a quick note about controlling the outlets. Once you plug in a DPU into the Smart Panel 2, all the A/C i/o is completely controlled by the Smart Panel. And all the external input and output plugs are non-functional once the SP2 has control of the inverter. This caught me off guard. I had wired my home for 12 circuits, which meants I had to leave some circuits off of the system. One circuit I chose was all the outlets in the garage. I thought I was going to be able to plug directly into the DPU at times when I was working out in the garage with various tools or lights or tool battery chargers. Nope! All those DPU outlets are dead. Same goes for charging the DPU with the 110v cort for plugging into the wall. If it's plugged into the Smart Panel, it wall not allow any AC input except via the SP feed. This is a safety feature to prevent ground looping I'm told. When I first unboxed my DPU and played with it for a week, I got familiar with all these things Tech Made Easy explains, then after my SP2 got installed and connected, all those things went away, and it was a new world. I had to forget about the "coolness" of my DPU standalone, and now be totally amazed by my SP2 features which included controlling the DPU and showing me all the stats of the DPU. It is amazing and I hope I will soon get around to making a video! OK, so this wasn't a "quick note"! Ha!
