Wow! Permissional rapport, ? , lots of perceptual positions stuff, almost like Steve did a blueprint and Michael built a house. Lots to freewheel with here, ie, good, liked it , thanks!

I was ‘getting lost’ in the ‘house’ metaphor. The separation of the ‘internal’ and the ‘external’ rapport is useful. I believe you were asking ....if the ‘internal or permissional rapport’ was .....something to do with values. I think you are correct in that regard, Mr.Grinder’s response didn’t make sense to me. Familiarity with meta errors and sleight of mouth patterns, I see as necessary tools for sensory acuity skills. The phrase ‘permissional rapport’, was a fun linguistic/philosophic ‘rabbit hunt’. ! To seek permission can be considered as honoring and preserving the integrity of a sentient life form. So perhaps the term ‘permissional rapport’, is to remind ‘seekers’ to be humble, not ‘mind read’, and allow clarity to emerge during values eliciting/processing. Mr. Grinder, liked everything! He would begin a seemingly negative story, and end it with applause and a ‘football cheer’ tone of voice. This frequently struck me as. ‘forced or as a metaphor’ for the real thing. His ‘praise’ of car salespersons, for example, had the curious effect of lowering his credibility. He lead us with, .....’we all know car sales people’....relying somewhat correctly on common cultural/social assumptions about the honesty etc. of sales people, then he immediately grabs the moral high ground by applauding, and saying.....’....good on them etc...’. Meanwhile, I’m feeling guilty for my assumption- which mr Grinder lead me into. Additionally, the car sales thing felt like a purposeful misdirect- since he original point was now muddy, since I was busy dealing with the ‘guilt bait’ I’d accepted.

Finally, perhaps a few negative examples need installing on certain of his databases?/ my ‘ spidey’ sense said smug, hubristic. And we.’ know’, intuition on personalities is likely correct!
