How are they suppose to continue it when its not truely as popular as it once was and and it had alot of its budget cut plus there selling all the remaining props and costumes from all the 30 years worth of power rangers plus it needs to mature the franchise more cause there based off old Japanese footage from power rangers they made before the American version we grew up with in the 90s plus alot of the franchise wasnt able to be recreate to use the ones they skipped on top of that some of the actors cant come back cause they either passed away or in jail or like the actor that played jason for example cant leave the country they use to film the power rangers.

Sorry but I disagree if they do a reboot they can make it a little bit more adult by adding mild cursing to make it have a wider spread of an audience it would be perfect especially for teenagers that watch the show but I don’t entirely disagree I think they could do a passing of the torch kind of show where the og rangers kids not in irl but in universe

@dino-man9574 well if anything they would have what you mean if they would do something with the 30th anniversary special mighty morphin once and always cause they did in away pass the torch for the yellow ranger and technically they could do something similar for tommy and they could use billy and tye up the story they made between once and always and what he found out during his time helping in cosmic fury and make use of the fact they teased S.p.a (space patrol alfa) plus elabrate more on Billy's company that he started that could help with new rangers

Alot of fans (not everyone) have always wanted to see Power Rangers either in the Cobra Kai/Karate Kid universe or the cast of Cobra Kai AS the rangers themselves for some reason. 🙂

Having the cast of Cobra Kai in the remake of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers could only happen when Hasbro is willing to pay them a serious salary and treat them with respect down the line, but time will tell if that will happen or they make the decision to hire them for the remake for sure.

I think they should not reboot mighty Morphin. They should do something else and create all new actors. There’s plenty of young talent out there that are studying karate that are studying martial arts.

I don’t want another Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I do however want the Cobra Kai cast as power rangers in a college setting. A power rangers reboot should have a similar vibe to Cobra Kai but I want them to have original powers and be original characters. But I do like the color break down a lot of people use for them. Using the Cobra Kai cast can also allow them to change core team dynamics and possibly do a core team of 6 or 7 instead of 5. Edit: Something they can do is a next gen team. Tanner can be Tommy’s son and have a dragon themed zord (would be the only one based on Mighty Morphin’s original lineup). Other zords can be based on the toy collab that happened a while back.

I’m still not entirely in agreement with you but at the very least I do agree that the actors from Cobra Kai would make amazing Power Rangers. However I think that they should also make an effort to tell stories like cobra Kai did as well and for the record I’m a fan of Rocky Desantos 100%! and I have never had a problem with him being a Red Ranger!

Adam became the no2 guy after Tommy almost from minute 1. It’s mostly because of how the characters had episodes written for them. Tommy got overexposed even from the first season so a lot of us were bored with him pretty quick. Same with Kimberly. Then Adam, Billy and Rocky were neck and neck, and Aisha, love you Karen Ashley, was never given any exposure. Short answer: I’m not sold on the theory that they need to use established actors for the reboot; it just has to be written well.

Austin Saint scott and walter Jones should have never been replaced. They replace them because they wanted more money. They weren't being paid as much as. They weren't getting paid more , they decided to accept that they weren't going to get a raise, and keep their job. They chose to not walk off their contract. From what I have understood for a long time now, is that all 6 were supposed to threaten to walk, but JDF got cold feet and when he chose to not threaten to leave, the other two did as well. And when the production team had only half the the cast threaten to leave, they let them.
